Why can't they make world class players anymore?

Good young Italian talent is few and far between
>Rugani
>Berardi
>Scuffet/Leali/Perin
>Insigne
>Florenzi
>Sturaro
>De Sciglio
>Romagnoli

Even their talent is very questionable. The only real standout talents are Verratt and Donnarumma.

Certainly no more talent like Del Piero, Totti, Inzaghi etc.
>>
read my lips

Davide Calabria
>>
>Donnarumma

is he actually good or "good for his age"?
>>
Sturaro so far isn't even good as poor man's Vidal.

>>69242541

Literally italian Van Der Sar, sames pro and cons.
>>
>>69242541
Next GOAT Gigi
>>
Actually i prefer the mediocrity of this generation to the "stars" who didn't accomplice shit in nt. Even 2006 team was a mix of experienced players and hard working dudes without stellar talent.
>>
>le if they arent rumored to go to EPL for 40 gazillion they are not good meme
>>69242541
He's alredy good enough to start in SerieA, and he turned 17 this year
>>
>>69242541

>>69242612
>Sturaro so far isn't even good as poor man's Vidal.

his offensive potential isn't much but could be a good defensive CM. he already does ok

>>69242787
>le if they arent rumored to go to EPL for 40 gazillion they are not good meme

I put 25 or under. Germany, France, Spain, Belgium etc all have at least 2-3+ WC players 25 or under

>Romagnoli is twice the player Stones is, just for an example

I'm talking compared to players like Bobo Vieri, Gattuso etc not some meme english player
>>
>>69243246
>Belgium
yeah i saw all that World class talent
who is wc under 25 in Spain? Only Koke, Thiago is 25 alredy, when he even plays (dont tell me Morata for the love of God) and frace? Pogba and? Maybe Coman, who's not better than let's sa,y Berardi
I dont know where you se all those 3+ WC players under 25 everywhere
>>
>>69242783
They didn't "accomplish" shit because they played in a much tougher era you retard

The 90s Italian team would destroy that meme 2006 team(which got really lucky anyways and wasn't that good)
>>
>>69245532
25 and 28 alredy respectively
>>
>>69245233
I said 25 and under

>Germany
Gotze
Draxler
Gundogan

>Spain
Isco
Koke
Thiago
Morata

>France
Pogba
Griezmann
Digne (not quite world class yet but big talent)

>Belgium
Hazard
De Bruyne
Lukaku

>Italy
Verratti
Donnarumma (also not wc yet)

I would not say Berardi is better than Coman, I am hopeful for him but it doesn't look like he even has ambition to leave Sassuolo, another season there now....
>>
>>69245670
the only legit world class talents in there are Koke, De Bruyne, Griezmann, and maybe Draxler and Pogba
not much better than Italy if you ask me
>>
>Rugani
Literally an half year of good playing in a minor team (but HEY he JEWentus now).
>Berardi
That's good. 21 years and look at last 3 years goals (He a little bastard, btw)
>Scuffet/Leali/Perin
yeah, no.
>Insigne
SCHMURF
>Florenzi
good stamina and nothing more (Yet, good)
>Sturaro
OMG leave this meme alone. Next year without his loving friend ANDONIO GONDE he will be literally trashed - mark my words.
>De Sciglio
hahaha he's under pills. He Mad.
>Romagnoli
Who?

- Gabbiadini
- Belotti
>>
>>69245670
Don't forget Schurrle

But
>Lukaku
>World Class
>Donnarumma somehow isn't
Get the fuck out of here Lukaku is a World Class Meme at best
>>
>>69245233

Australia Please

Griezmann is 25
Pogba and Varane are 23
Laporte 22

Pick someone else.

The teams you met were all shit m8, face it. Giroud would have 0 goals if you had met Spain, Belgium and Germany. But continue to rate him, go ahead; Wenger does that every season and it works wonderfully for him
>>
>>69247050
France stop
Italy have beaten stronger teams than you have this Euro

Beating Spain is harder than beating Iceland
>>
One year ago anyone who would've say that Payet is a world class player would've been mocked. Italy's next generation seems great.
>>
>>69247032
No need to remind me, he has been great in the knock out games, especially when he played as a true defensive midfielder and not a wanna be box to box.
You judge him on his goals (like every casual) I judge him on his interceptions and key passes.
>>
>>69247014
Payet is 29 and just had his first good season, he's nowhere near Muller and this euro won't change that, Griezmann is a choker and also overrated imo, he's no better than Payet
The only team with more than one player better than Muller is Spain
>>
>>69247129
He's better as a box to box imo (not the guy you are arguing with btw)

Giroud scored against Germany each time he faced them, he also scored against Spain.

I don't give a fuck about Wenger, Giroud is the perfect partner for Griezmann just like Torres at Atletico.

Not true
More like Payet had his first season in a relevant league at last(and playing at West Ham at that not a top team like Bayern Munich)

I'm not talking about success but Payet in terms of skill level is on Muller's league

It's true that Griezmann chokes but he's still a great player and has ben great in this tourney

what has Bernardeschi have to do with who is top scorer? he's not a striker
And Gabbiadini plays in the same role and in the same team as Gonzalo "36 and new goalscoring record since the 50s" Higuain

>>69248775

he wasn't, Immobile was not even playing in Serie A. And he sucks.
>>
>>69248775
It was Icardi.

Funny thing is, that season Gabbiadini scored 15, more than Di Natale and Klose.
>>
The youth system is fucked to the root: youth teams would rather go after niggers/foreigners cause their physical prowess puts them ahead of the curve for a while and they can either win them stuff at youth level or get sold for profit early on.

This leaves literally no room for young italian talents to develop properly.

Similarly, Serie A clubs would much rather sign foreigners and get results right now (or just cycle through a bunch of them on yearly basis, see kisnter and kekilan) than letting italian players grow among their ranks.

Case in point, just compare 90's~early 2k Italy NT with the crap we got going right now.
>>
>>69242232
Verratti is literally the best midfielder in the world

>>69248812
I'm making a point about Serie A's quality here

>>69249093

>>
>>69249096

Also, he has scored 1 (one) (uno) gol in two Serie A seasons.

Really makes you think.
>>
>>69249096
because he never played there maybe?
Toni and Di Natale were able to score that much because they knew the league like their pockets, same reason why VanPersie and Rooney single handedly won a PL title in their last good season before becoming boiled salami
>>
>>69249093

Balotrolli, besides being Raiola's very own running joke and trolling masterpiece, is the epitome of this shitty mentality, a fucking tier 3 footballer hyped up to the extreme because muh niggerism and muh physicality/athleticism.
>>
>>69249093

There's no more foreigners in the youth italian system than in any other big league. Don't know every team but i doubt it's even 15%.
>>
>>69249134
The problem with Sacchi is not that he was ""racist"", is that he didn't have any idea of how the Serie A youth team were composed and just went for the "well let's blame foreigners in football, you always get it right when you do"

And he would have gotten away with it, if he didn't want to be a memelord and go full nigger.
>>
>>69249096
Jamie "literally who" Vardy lead the PL top scoring table for more than half a season and broke the record for scoring in most cosecutive games, and it's not young either. At least Toni was world class once.
Harry Kane scored 0 goals in both the U21 and the real Euro, but somehow those two guys are less embarassing than a wc and golden booth winner.
And EPL defenses are an absolute joke
>>
>>69249186
Eh, he had legit skills. Too bad he didn't have the mentality for high level football.
>>
>>69249186

Balotelli is only physicality/athleticism? Crazy tought.

>mocking Milan for the lack of Italian players
it's the one thing you cant complain about
>>
>>69249322
As I said above, he is technically gifted, and sometimes he even displayed some decent playmaking skills.

The problem he has is about mentality. I suspect he has Adriano kind of mental/confidence problems right now.

The fact that the is a literal memelord doesn't help his image either.
>>
>>69249158
Ciro Immobile was top scorer in 2013/14
He scored only 3 goals...in fucking Bundesliga
>>
>>69249134

I'm saying this cause I live in Turin, literally 3 mins by car from where Juve training facilities.

That's not necessarily true. The body starts declining around 27-28, so strikers who rely a lot on speed usually peek around that time and then degrade pretty quick, like a Henry or an Eto'o.
But strikers who rely more on positioning can peek later, and/or maintain their peek form for several more years. Guys like Van Nistelrooy, Inzaghi, Trezeguet, Toni, Ibrahimovic, etc. And they benefit from the added experience without really being penalized for being older.
>>
>>69251485
not quite. The body peaks at around 27-28, but depending on lifestyle, nutrition, general health and genetics one can maintain that peak till 30-31. It's only then that one starts really declining.
>>
>>69251634
Yeah, but in any case speed and vivacity is what goes to shit first, and fairly fast. Stamina on the other hand can be maintained much longer, like we can see with some guys aged 36-40 doing long distance shit like marathons and triathlons with fairly competitive times.
>>
The 90s-born generation of Italian players looks more promising than the 80s-born players (gave Barzagli, De Rossi, Chiellini, Bonucci, Marchisio as key players; and Barzagli, De Rossi and maybe Chiellini are probably old enough to be considered part of a separate generation). In my opinion, the top tier talents are:

Verratti
Rugani
Bernardeschi
Donnarumma
Berardi
Romagnoli

With another tier below of potential "very good" players:

De Sciglio
Cataldi
Belotti
Benassi
Sportiello/Perin
Sturaro
Zappacosta

And some other talents who I'm unsure of or are still too young/too inexperienced to judge:

Masina
Baselli
Ricci
Sensi
Mandragora
Meret
Calabria
>>
>>69242232

>Rugani
>Berardi
>Scuffet/Leali/Perin
>Insigne
>Florenzi
>Sturaro
>De Sciglio
>Romagnoli

are these real people? this reads like a pasta menu at the Olive Garden
>>
we have some new interesting lads coming in
Mandragora, Sensi, Ricci, Chiesa junior, Capradossi, Favilli, Ganz all have yet to play at the top level but they seem promising
about bigger names who already experienced Serie A i'd like to add Bernardeschi, El Sharaawy (remember he's only 23), Grassi, Monachello, Trotta, Pellegrini, Calabria, Benassi, Baselli and Belotti
these last three will be coached by Miha, he's great as far as nurturing talent goes, probably the best around

talent doesn't always need to be flashy from the start, if given time to grow many of this players could become good at an international level
>>
>>69251856
I forgot El Shaarawy (only considered players born 1992 and after, so no Insigne or Florenzi). Next season will be big for him; his first big season at Milan and his last 6 months at Roma he looked like a top player. In between the injuries killed him.

Bernardeschi is good, but should leave Fiorentina if he wants to develop more seriously.
>>

true
Fiorentina is Roma^2 in terms of disappointed expectances, but they produced a bunch of great players

Is this the new pasta thread?

I'm looking for protein suggestions to eat with pasta.

Fucking brazilians, man.
>>
>>69252830

Juve and Roma don't need him. Only Napoli would be a step ahead and he could take the place of Callejon i guess. (or go to Ac Milan...)

Apparently, Inter is on him if they somehow fail to buy Candreva.

Rip.

Calabria>>>>>>De Sciglio
De Sciglio is no good

If Fiorentina knew how to properly run an organization and invest in players to be more than a perennial 5th place team, Bernadeschi could grow there.

But as it stands, first half of last season aside, they just dont have the talent to be a Juve or Napoli.

>In between the injuries killed him.
Nah he sucked even before the injuries
In the second half of 2012/13 he literally disappeared

Coincidentally when Balotelli came, I don't think they figured out how to use them together.

Nah even before Balotelli stepped on San Siro ground El Shaarawy was playing like shit in January

And there were many games where he played without Balotelli after that but he just couldn't produce shit

He's a one-dimensional player which only works if you play counter-attacking football and he has enough space
He easily gets shut by any decent fullback otherwise
