I think its for the long term best, regardless of our current record. Our farm is middle of the road, we need some more umph behind it, trading Miller/Chapman/Beltran, even Gardner and McCann could set us up nicely for the future.

So when I was 15 I took a trip to New York City. I went to a Yankees/Twins (at the old field) with my family. We obviously were cheering for the twins, even though they lost, as is tradition. There were a few fans right behind us that noticed this and kept talking shit about Mauer (he wasn't shit yet) and had some unreasonable hate for moose. There are basically no moose left in Minnesota (thanks climate change). Are all fans cunts? This was more than just good natured banter. Granted after we told them we were actually from the state they shutup and left, probably to find better seats. Also is there a hair grease kiosk in the new field? They must have just visited the one at old Yankee Field.

Rather than giving this guy millions of dollars to throw a ball he should be in jail like the psychopath he is. I've been a Yankee fan my whole life but I'm very disappointed to see them acquire him. There are things bigger than the game and I cannot root for the Yankees if they condone this.
The Dodgers made a smart and ethical decision in passing him up. It hurts me to do, but I have thrown out all my Yankee gear and decided to become a Red Sox or Mets fan (whichever one does better this year)
