SF and STL will meet for the first of seven games this season. Three in this series; four in Sep at SF.
SF pitchers - lowest May ERA (2.47) - will be tested by a stellar STL offense; like CHC offense did. However, STL pitching and defense is average -- SF offense need to pick up for this matchup.
SF, which won each of Cueto's last seven starts, will monitor Cueto's stiff back, which affected his command Sunday at COL.
STL have notched victories in Wainwright's last seven outings as well.
STL open the series on the heels of a series win in MIL. STL SS Jhonny Peralta still on the DL.
BREAKING NEWS: Hunter Pence will be out for 8 weeks and may require surgery on his torn hamstring.
