SEA: Hernandez (3-3 , 2.47 ERA) CIN: Lamb (0-1 , 5.79 ERA)
Armed Forces Day, pls thank a veteran.
Felix gets his second career homer today, I'm calling it.
Let's go M's!
This lineup looks like McClendon wrote it
>>67751028
i approve of any lineup that has Felix
>>67750975
I believe it
but honestly guys, it's time to think about a post-King and post-Kuma Mariners. Not saying we're there yet, but Taijuan is an awfully weak basket to put our eggs in (so far)
>>67751066
true senpai
CRUZ MISSILE TIME
Time to close up the series M's!
>those Reds uniforms
wow, those are the worst since the late 70's White Sox
And what's up with that pitchers hair? Why is that allowed?
any reds fans lurkin?
>>67751285
i agree on the uniforms, but please dont talk shit about opposing pitchers hair when we have felix
>>67751299
doubt it
>>67751426
fair point, but it's all under his hat when he's working so its not really an issue
>>67751426
>audible K chants in Cincinnati
Mariner fans are really cool sometimes
Since theres no Reds fans here to laugh at us, tell me your craziest hopes and dreams about the Mariners
Mine is that they acquire Kyle's brother to play SS next to him somehow.
And (even more unlikely) that their team record is at or above.500 in 7 years
>>67751758
my craziest dream is that Zunino hits like he does in triple A
Also god damn Phillips
MARTIN
HO LEE SHIT
MARTIN MASH
MARTIN KEEP IT UP YOU BEAUTIFUL MOTHERFUCKER
BORROWED BOOMSTICK
AYYYYYYYYY DINGERRRRRR
>Martin comes to Seattle and becomes a power hitter
>Rags
>dat look on Felix's face even as he was out
Man, the King loves to swing a bat. Wonder if hes ever wanted to be an NL pitcher?
Martin had 19 career homers in like 4 years with the rangers.
Has 8 in 40 games so far this season.
we are getting full boys
>>67752109
>in hitter friendly Texass
howd the first run happen?
>Martin on pace for 31 dingers
>>67752176
Martin
>>67752176
18 degree 107mph homerun
>>67751758
dont forget Justin Seager.
he will probably never hit the majors but if they somehow get Corey they could all him up for a game and have a Seager, Seager, Cano, Seager infield
>>67752285
the Seattle Seagers has a nice ring to it
>>67751758
we bring ichiro back and win the eeries
>>67752285
>>67751758
I know it would never happen, but what could we give up to get corey seager?
>>67752455
it would probably take Paxton/Walker and a good prospect
heading to the pub do i wear my dirty gray M's hat, my pristine home M's cap, or as usual my MAGA hat?
>>67752492
that seems high. i dont think Walker alone is that much lower than Corey
>>67752396
>bringing someone back who gave up on the team and went to chase rings with the Yanks
no thanks
>>67752538
>>67752492
unless you meant paxton or walker and a good prospect
i read it as paxton and walker
>>67752530
wear the dirty grey Mets
>>67752605
I meant or, my bad
>>67752530
whichever one has a brim with a nice curve to it.
And no fucking stickers
>there's actually a person named Billy Hatcher
neat
>>67752670
only the MAGA hat comes with the curved brim and i take all stickers off at the store and make the cashier throw them away. i did just wash the gray one though i could curve that for you
>>67752530
>stickers
>flat brimmed
reeee desu
>>67752660
i think you wrote it right, i misread it
assuming la would take walker & a top 3 ms prospect, i dont think i would make that trade
i think marte and walker and the prospect sounds better than corey and paxton
Felix, pls
That is some fucking bullshit
>losing the 3 inning no hit bid to the pitcher
just
>>67752572
so? he was getting old and past his prime. He spent plenty of years in seattle. Made the playoffs once in 2001 his rookie year. I wasnt that mad about it. M's were really bad
>>67752988
didn't bother Felix or Edgar or a bunch of other M's players who didn't leave even though the team struggled
>>67752572
fuck you ichiro was amazing on awful Mariners teams. he earned the right to ring chase and i would welcome him back in a 4th outfielder role
>>67752492
If I were management, I would definitely give up paxton and alex jackson for seager
>all because of a pitcher's bullshit hit
This is why I hate the NL
c'mon Felix, no meltdown pls
>>67753113
in a heartbeat
>>67753113
sure, if its Paxton
Marte could get some decent prospects back.
i wouldnt if it was walker
grand slam incoming
god dammit felix
throw strikes
This dudes at the fucking Mendoza line, get his ass
GO RIGHT AT HIM
>>67753113
We already have a very good young shortstop so I see no reason for going after Seager, desu
Phew!
Atta boy Felix
Whew
FUCKING NICE CATCH, THANK GOD
karma
Nice job Cruz make that faggot pay for ruining Felix's no no
Aw yeah Dae Ho
dae ho is my favorite korean in the world. more than that cute incheon bartender who flirted with me for bigger tip
GUTI!!!!!
FINALLY GUTI
Based Guti
BASED FUCKING GUTI
GUTI
Guti not dead yet
GUTI BOMB GUTI BOMB GUTI BOMB
FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY THREE FEET ONE HUNDRED TWELVE MPH
473 feet jesus fucking christ
>we'll never get to see meme bombs in Safeco field
feels bad man
>473 feet
That's the second longest home run this year, behind Giancarlo Stanton's 490 (!!!!!!) foot homer earlier this month.
That was the 2nd tier of the 2nd deck.
Destroyed
i'm literally erect right now because of that dinger
Guti should just spend the next couple years roiding, he's got nothing to lose at this point in his career.
>dat reds girl who can actually catch
anyone have a video of the home run? twitter doesn't have one right now
>>67754003
i will webm it when it pops up

>>67754172
love you too senpai
>>67754243
one of the best dingers in Mariners history
>>67754243
Jesus, that's orgasmic. Perfectly timed swing for a perfectly misplaced pitch, in a perfectly meme'd ballpark.
Look at the ball jump off the bat, even in the video it's a blur.
is there a single resd fan?
>>67754439
There's that one reds tripfag, but he's probably passed out drunk right now.
>>67754292
now with guti
pls be ok Marte
any Ms fans in the bay area?
i feel like im alone down here
>>67754663
id kms if i was in california
>>67754703
its not bad buddy
>>67754663
I don't live there but I know a number of people from Seattle who are working down there and are M's fans.
>>67754739
i miss Safeco. its pretty shitty having to go to oakland to watch the ms
>>67754777
speaking of Oakland, they had another sewage leak today
>john cena music
heh
Why does Felix try to work around the opposing pitcher? Does he not realize they can't hit?
come on felix, get the out
good recovery
wew that was close
WOOOO!!!!!! MARINERS!!!!!!
FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
guti is on it today
>>67755028
just need the astros to beat the rangers
>>67751758
Screenshot taken so that I can post along with Memeiners record on May 21, 2023.
good going, felix
>>67752572
He was fucking traded by Jack Z, you douche. I'd take him back in a heartbeat.
>>67755258
he asked for the trade retard
We already have enough designated squinters Ichiro needs to go pitch for some nips
>>67755258
he wanted out
>>67755305
>>67755371
Even so, Jack never needed to oblige.
All in all, the problems that have plagued the Ms have been due to Bavasi and Jack. At the very least, I can be happy that Ichiro stayed through nearly a decade.
>>67755358
isn't he still chasing a record?
Martin is to hard to replace, no matter how bad he hits.
MARTIN WOW
well done, martin. Didn't think he would get it
Based Martin
>>67755611
All I know is the Marlins were based enough to give him the shot
>>67755258
He BEGGED for a trade.
He said he felt like he was a waste of space on the team, essentially.
>>67755611
he's on pace to get 3000 by midway next season
>>67755549
>Jack never needed to oblige
No, I guess he didn't. I guess he could've held on to an Ichiro who didn't want to play for the M's and lose money. Ichiro never needed to oblige to sign another contract for the M's either, retard.
>>67755258
>>67755305
>Jackie traded walker+ for Justin upton but Justin didnt want to play for seattle
>>67755743
Mmmkay, so it's fine to just give up on one of the most important players of the franchise. Well... We seem to have a history with that.
At least Randy and Ichiro got rings...
>>67755965
Alex?
>>67755965
They gave up on us, asshole. Hence them wanting the trade. They WANTED to leave. Z didn't put them out to pasture. They WANTED to play for a different team.
comfy series desu
>>67756052
Its nice not having to stress. I just want one sweep
>>67755988
I'm pretty sure that A-Rod was a free agent and got a better deal from Texas.
I think Griffey applies to the trade, though.
>>67756156
we swept the rays a couple weeks ago but i feel ya
>>67756029
Christ, what's wrong with playing out a season then being traded?
qt ball girl pick up game when tbhwy
>>67756156
Already have two sweeps- in Oakland and at home against the Rays
Shitattle is still shit
>>67756327
m's are winning the worlds series this year though
>>67756327
mmmhm
we have been pretty terrible with risp this year
hasn't mattered a ton though
>>67756399
dog looks like haichi from the movie
>>67756327
What did he mean by this?
Montgomery could be an all-star relief pitcher this year. He can fill in as a starter too if Paxton isn't ready to come up.
>>67756436
m's still have some time to fix it
>>67756029
The Ichiro situation was just the perfect storm. If he stuck with them being shit for a decade, certainly nothing changed that year besides him falling off the map. It was situation where the team clearly needed him gone so bad because the organization was an absolute joke and they were desperate to play any new warm bodies they could. This wasn't a team with some promise and he didn't want to wait. It was a joke, sticking players everywhere just to see what would stick. DH's here, 1B's in the OF, who cares. Anything to save our jobs.
>>67756436
Eh, some days are awful, but some are excellent with well over .500 risp.
At least on those awful days, we've had a lot of base runners. Last year we were lucky to get those.
>>67756156
we NEED some sweeps
haven't even looked at the schedule but sooner or later we're playing the Rangers and both the Sox and those wil be tough series.
And we need insurance against another Angels series style meltdown (bound to happen again at some point, desu) and/or Rags stepping their game up
>>67756643
who cares
we gonna whip dey asses
>>67756540
2008 - 2011
Those were some dark years for Seattle sports.
>>67756749
2008 was the shittiest sports year for any city ever.
>4-12 Seahawks, Hass injured
>100 loss Mariners
>0-12 Huskies football
>shitty Wazzu Football
>Sonics have worst season ever and then leave town
>>67756861
>and then leave town
best year desu
>>67756696
I fuckin hope so, I know for sure this team CAN go toe to toe with any other team (maybe even the Cubs!) and whip dat ass, but whether they WILL...
I won't even start to be /comfy/ until we're first by 3 games
wew
yay
Good game
FUCK YEAH
another series win, see y'all tomorrow for the sweep!
there was a moment of worry but for the most part it was a comfy win
gg redsbros
anyone else going to shitpost in the rags thread?
>>67757058
Nah, I've got better things to do.
