no, mayweather always stepped up to the plate when it mattered, i.e. Canelo, De la Hoya, Pacquiao( never mind thats a huge blemish on his career), Cotto ( even when he was going to jail right after). Mayweather always prepared properly and believed in his skills and never choked.

when boxers are in camp they pretty much train all day, no booze, no junk food, etc. Running, training, conditioning, sparring, sleeping.
NBA players are in the club during the playoffs, and their are tons of stories of players showing up hungover. furthermore, if you get tired you can get subbed out. If you get tired in boxing, you get hit a lot more.
