I played every sport except for hockey cause I was poor and football cause we didn't have it

Was pitcher
SG for basketball
LB in soccer
>>
Varsity soccer, fullback.
In high school I was on the crossbar-country running team (it was a glamour sport where I was from).
Also on the downhill ski team.

In semi-pro I got moved to center and nose which I am not fond of so I retired. I still play mens league lacrosse and coach college lax

My one shining moment was in the state championship, bottom 9, 2 outs, man on 2nd & 3rd. My team is up one run and just needs to get the last out. Batter hits a blooper to shallow center and I made an amazing diving catch to get the last out and prevent the walk off.

I got 0 pussy out of this amazing play.

I generally disliked/hated sports when I was a kid, and didn't voluntarily participate in any. Although when I was very young, I put together a decent baseball card collection that I've stubbornly never gotten rid of.

By the time high school rolled around, my attitude towards P.E. was literally "Why am I being made to do this, this is stupid. I'm not fat. Where are the books, this is school, give me a book. School is for books." I got it (P.E. requirements) all out of the way sophomore year. Then in college friends would attend sporting events or go to the gym sometimes, and I sort of instinctively knew not to be a cunt about it so I just politely declined to ever go, but my inner monologue was still "why. why are you doing that." I never attended, much less participated in, a single athletic event during college.

On the other hand, I'd ride my bike everywhere during both HS and college, frequently working up a sweat, so there's a workout I guess. About six years ago a job would blare ESPN radio all day, and I started paying tangential attention by osmosis. Once I realized that I had a very, very cursory sports knowledge, I also realized that it made casual conversation like 100 times easier with the straight guys at the job. Oh, this is what they talk about, right. Earlier in life, I seem to remember a few times when some random normie fuck would try asking me if I had any interest in sports, and I'd usually just go "Nah", met with an "Oh..", and that was the end of those interactions, kek

OP here. I was fat as fuck in Jr High and lost about twenty pounds in freshman camp.

They moved me from useless short offensive lineman to running back and then eventually to the QB position late July.

I never made it past the fourth round in football playoffs. I wish we could have made it to the title game but I'm grateful we even did something in the playoffs.

I can't imagine being on one of those shitty teams that just wins 1-4 games and gets 60+ points put on their ass every week.

I always felt bad if I made big plays against those teams.

I gave a guy a pretty serious neck injury that stopped him from playing sports.

I was gunning on a punt return and the guy was mid-juke so I lowered to roll over him and tackle him and the dumbass pulled up.

My head would have gone right over his but since he pulled up my helmet hit him square in the neck.

that used to be our team. we used to always finish in last place. but somehow some guy came back and changed everything up. he recruited kids to go to public school instead of going to private school.

he was first person to ever go to to state playoffs and win the 8a state title in florida
>>
>>67529638
You guys have open borders right?

In Texas you play with what you've got so it's on the coach more than it is on the system like in Florida.

It just sucked because they didn't know what to do. They would try so fucking hard but had no idea. If I was in a deep zone I could just watch the QBs eyes and the ball would go exactly where he looked every fucking time.

Or how their DLines could never read schemes and they would just get embarassed in stretches because they would just crash in every time.

I was raised in AZ and assisted a small HS

Played football as DE/OLB and special teamer, I was kinda average and started all gsmes as a senior
Did wrestling, 145 and later 152 lbs, I made it to state as a sophomore, 5th as a junior and strained my ankle as a senior so no state for me
I also run 100m, 200m, 400m relay in Track and field.

Since I got my ass back in Spain, I play gridiron football as DT/DE and I'm also do the OC

Thanks bro. D2 is still pretty competitive football and lax. I had d1 looks for both sports coming out of HS but they were for bum-fuck nowhere schools (canisius and holy cross for lax, wagner, iona, and st peter's for football) and none of the schools would let me play both so I chose the school that would let me play both (and rugby as a club sport) but as far as semi pro football goes, you gotta fucking love the game because it does not pay well and you are destroying your body. Thats why I retired. I just turned 30, and I retired at 29. I played in class 5A in Texas. There's a big push for safe and correct tackling amongst the high level programs. The coaches that didn't coach correctly were pretty much shunned by other programs and given hell if their teams played dirty.

You would have a lot of teams that would have to schedule lower classifications or out of state teams because other coaches refused to play them until they cleaned it up.

Racquetball, cross-country, and marching band.

Won team nationals in racquetball. Great sport. Shame the facilities cost so much and the sport is dying.

Ran a ~18 5k for cross-country. The girls were meh and I'm pretty sure I fucked my legs up running that much.

Marching band is horrible. No one should take such a stupid activity so seriously. Playing in the stands during real sports games was infinitely more fun because you could just talk to your friends and play super fucking loud. If you're in 8th grade and reading this, don't do marching band. Even if it's required. Don't do it just on principle.

That's smart. When I was in high school we were taught to dip our hips and look up then lift while wrapping up through the torso. Even in practices my teammates would just put their heads down and spear helmets and chests.

That was 15 years ago in a Veer/4-4 upper midwest high school with scant conference D1 talent. I have seen some high school highlight tapes of guys from places like Texas, Miami, and Georgia where they will fly down the field and launch into guys like torpedoes with the tops of their heads. It's nuts.

British, but tried to use american terms lads.

High School/Sixthform (Junior and senior year) - Basketball Shooting Guard (First year, never took off), Ice Hockey, any position needed to make the team (school didn't have a team so this is outside that)

It lets otherwise talentless people feel like they're a part of something. Just like how MLP lets man children feel like they're a part of a passionate community, MB lets kids have free friends just for being playing their instrument.

That being said, it's not a sport. It takes virtually no fitness and the director takes it just as seriously as Jim Harbaugh takes football.

Well besides memorizing your positions and music and having the stamina to play in extremely bulky uniforms while playing an instrument(although most of the music they play isn't that hard in the first place) it really isn't that physically demanding. Half of it is mental and the other half is just having a normal amount of stamina.

You would think all the fat kids in marching band would lose some weight considering how much they practice. I seriously don't get it.

broke ankle after grade 12 and quit team (new head coach was fag) dealt with shin splints all season before and they just got worse and buddy just didn't seem to like me, no matter how well I played or hard I fucked people up in practice...oh well, old coach has city championship and new one has nothing even though he had a historic NFL player for 3 years playing for him

should have been in the CFL at least, played with NFL player and against NFL player once and CFL players and canadian university record holders

had no real direction in life, too late now am in my 30's

>one more of that and we can't fix it anymore
Today I play golf with a handicap of 7.

Could be worse.

As someone who played every snap on defense, about 50% of offensive snaps, returned punts and gunned on kickoff and punts band kids are fucking pussies.
>>
>Football/Soccer
I generally played as a centre half, I never spent a lot of time practicing ball control but I was a pro at skinning cunts shins, John Terry was my hero growing up.

>Rugby
Played as a flanker from like 13-16 years old, played as a prop when I was a little kid just because size didn't matter and I enjoyed the role.

I never took sports too seriously, mostly just for fun and to stay fit.

>band kids
>playing football

That sounds odd, the marching band in my HS practiced almost all year long except for winter.

Was your band kids really cliquey? It seems like a rule of nature that they have to be. It is the only reason those nerds get any pussy in HS anyhow.

>football in highschool Sophomore and senior year
>baseball just senior year
>wrestling freshman year and half of sophomore and junior year

I regret so many things about sports. I regret stopping myself from playing baseball in middle school. I was a great hitter but didn't play for 3 years after 8 years in a row and I lost all the talent and I couldn't hit like I used to.
also wrestling story that i will never let down and that ruined my whole life
>freshman year wrestling
>freshman and JV state tournament (combined tournament, idk why)
>number 1 seed in my weight class, went undefeated all season with all pins

it's worse when a bunch of fucking losers act like they were better athletes than you because you never played uni or pro sports and neither did they....

I don't know.

They were just a bunch of weebs who complained in the stands.

Squash is one of those sports that look like they're for idle rich cunts who don't want to sweat.
...until you try it.
I've played squash exactly once and I almost passed out. Shit was rough.

Same thing happened when the team leaders hired an aerobic instructor to work our hockey team out. Naturally, dumbasses that we were, we're making jokes at the outset. After 45 minutes everyone is on the floor, half-dead. Except for the damn instructor who barely broke a sweat.

What the fuck? If you've ever seen someone play squash for even 10 seconds you'd know that's obviously not true. How could you ever have thought that?

Swimming and running. fuck team sports.

Baseball for 3 out of 4 years, but our school pleayed in leagues year round, so I was playing summer ball, fall ball, winter ball and then spring was our official school district's season.

>Freshman
Played on the freshman team exclusively, right field.
Made the transition to first base near the end of the year because I shot up to 6'3".
Probably hit ~.300, not great when other teammates were lighting shit up going .500 or higher.

>Sophomore
Played on JV team, started at first base most games.
Hit around .250 - .300, again not great.

>Junior
Split time between JV and Varsity teams.
Always started first base every JV game, only started a handful of time on the Varsity squad.
Hit around .250, so pretty bad for high school, but god damn did I shine defensively. Zero errors, picking balls out of the dirt left and right, getting the tag outs when runners got too large of a lead, etc.

I quit in the fall of Senior year because I wanted to spend all my time playing games on my PC after school LMAO.
That, and half of the team smoked weed like 24/7 and I didn't do that. And I got pretty fed up with the coaches after 3 years.
>>
Soccer.

GK

On for the whole game.

1

I quit because GK is the most boring fucking thing in the world and everyone hates you. I wasn't good enough to play the interesting positions either.

Fuck sports
>>
>cricket
bowled leggies that were good in under13s but shit after that, fluked a good slogging innings with the bat every now and then
>AFL
played forward on shit teams, gave up for a while, came back and played ruck but then turned out i had shin splints so couldn't play
>soccah
started out as a keeper but our team sucked and i fucked up my foot kickboxing around that age, they replaced me in keeper (which i didn't care much about) so i played pretty much any other position. wasn't much good as striker or on the wing, useful in defence
>bball
started playing, was alright but then got a job that clashed with the trainings and plus it was over an hour away. played as a guard forward type due to being one of the taller guys on the team but not really strong

Football, wrestling (folkstyle & freestyle), and baseball. Lettered football twice, wrestling three times, baseball twice.
>Football
RB, TE, NT, LB
#40, still have my jersey collecting dust in closet
Didn't play offense much. All-league defensive line Junior and Senior years
>Wrestling
Weighed 185, wrestled at 189 throughout HS until Senior year when we had three good 189s so I bumped up to 215
Best I finished with was going two and out at the State tournament after being ranked #10 in classification
Didn't do freestyle too much but it was fun
>Baseball
Played a bunch of years and it was fun but I ended up being pretty bad after I started losing vision in my left eye. Its a shame too because I have really good reaction time. For a bigger guy I was pretty good at stealing

I play semi pro football now as a 25 year old. It's pretty fun. I wish it was more popular in my area though because the team might fold because we only have about 20 people for 11 man football.

Pic related, HS jersey.
