Clay Buchholz: 6.33 ERA ($29,450,000 American Dollars)
Joe Kelly: 9.35 ERA ($2,600,000 American Dollars)
Rick Porcello: 4.66 ERA (117 Million freshly picked Grapes)
Steven Wright: 1.4 ERA (The God Knuckler Himself, literally a certified God, worth a total $514,000 American Dollars)
The combined staff has a 5.76 ERA.
AND THAT'S ONLY IN THE 5 RANGE BECAUSE OF A FUCKING KNUCLEBALLER

Last season I saw Jeff Samardzija hang one over the center of the plate
A royals player punished him by absolutely killing the ball for a home run
On the next pitch to the next batter, Samardzija aimed his throw inside and plunked the royals hitter.
Later in the inning that runner came around to score as the royals cruised to a 10-1 victory.
It continues to become one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in the history of baseball. I've seen bad erros and bad baserunning before but most of it was due to physical or mental lapses that can happen.
This was on an entirely different level wholely intentional and truly one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in baseball ever. To this day I still can't comprehend it.

I thought it was stupid at first, but in the Giants case, after looking at the lineup it kind of makes some sense because no matter how you arrange the lineup there will always be something a little off and someone batting in a spot they shouldn't. The back to back leadoff hitters at the 9 and 1 spots makes sense imo

Cubs vs Royals All Star Game?
question
why don't TV broadcasts have the camera behind the plate? it would provide a better view of a ball leaving the bat on a good hit (instead of it just flying up out of the frame and switching cameras), and more players see the game from that perspective than from the pitcher's (simply because there's more different batters in a game than pitchers). You would also be able to see runners taking off and taking different leadoffs.
the only thing I can think of is that a camera behind home plate would have to be angled downward in order to see past the catcher and ump, and would thus skew your perspective of the strikezone
>>67069754
Pitchers are paid to pitch. Others are paid to field and hit.
No team wants to lose a multi million dollar pitcher to a leg injury running the bases

>>67070084
Right because the AL still doesn't have steals and pinch hitters, using righty vs righty and lefty vs lefty.
No one likes a free out. DH actually makes opposing pitchers have to pitch to all nine spots.
Also would stop padding pitching stats for getting the easy strikeout vs the other pitcher

I enjoy watching baseball. AL or NL it is great. Baseball is great. Baseball is love.
Also the only meme thing is DH is using some fat roid idiot in your DH spot like Ortiz/Arod/Pedro Alverez and not just using it to rest everyday players legs.
what if there was a rule that you could only use the same designated hitter once every 5 games
would this improve or worsen the game?
>>67070445
Not him, but watching pitchers hit is one of my favorite parts of baseball. I love watching Peavy knock in two runs with a base hit like he did yesterday and Bumgarner going deep off Kershaw
It's cool how pictures actually get to participate in the game of baseball and give themselves some runs in the NL
Just moved out of market and want to catch my team still. I have Comcast and I'm looking in to MLB Extra Innings. What's the deal with this lawsuit? Can I get a package for just my team instead of paying a million dollars to get every game?
