Clippers. In existence since 1970 as the Buffalo Braves and have really only been very good recently. Still have never even been to a conference final.
The likes of the Knicks, Sixers, and Hawks have all at least won or had some good teams to their credit since then.

Oldest team in existence. Have only won the championship twice, in 1925 and 1947. Browns are a close 2nd/arguable 1st. But the Cards are the worst all-time.
Despite being better than the Browns and Lions recently, including an SB appearance, they have the longest championship drought and less championships of the three teams.
Browns have also had some decent 80s teams, the Lions have had the Barry Sanders teams and have been okay recently, though are trending down, while the Cards had just about nothing. zilch. zero. until 2008.

Historically the Clippers are as horrible as the Cardinals (NFL) and Rangers (MLB), but new ownership can break the cycle. Sterling was never going to improve that team, he just wanted the profits off the top, same as every owner of the TX Rangers until just a few years ago.
Those two team have markedly improved, and the cycle may well finally be broken.
But not for the Cardinals. Even the Browns can point to 4 NFL championships in the 1950s/60s, but AZ hasn't won shit since before World War II.
