>>
>>66937705

This was essentially the last play of the biggest game of the year two years ago (the Super Bowl). Had the blue team caught the ball in the blue part of the field (end zone) they would have won the game. The white player intercepted the ball and his team was able to run the clock out and they won the game.
>>
>>66937705
There's an expression here: snatching defeat from the jaws of victoty. To set the scene, this is the league championship game. Blue team (Seattle) is yards away from a win; they get 6 points if they can get into that blue area with the ball, effectively winning the championship with ~20 seconds left in the game. White team (New England/Boston) catches the ball, giving them possession. The best part is the shitposting and hubris the Seattle fans showed all season and they got BTFO.

>>66937705

Also significant because the blue team (Seahawks) had one of the best running backs for a situation like that in the league but chose to throw the ball instead which is an inherently more risky play because something like that can happen. It'll probably go down as one of the more inexplicable play calls ever.

There is always the option of causing that (called a fumble, a fumble recovery to be more precise). Problem is the New England defender gave himself up to the defense, which stops the play in their favor. Interestingly enough, if he were to have caught it in the blue area and were tackled, that's 2 points for Seattle AND New England has to kick the ball back to Seattle.

RG3's rookie year. I was at the Ravens vs Redskins game in Landover. Saw RG3's knee go the wrong way when he ran into Hilodi Ngata from the Ravens. That basically started it. RG3 went out. Cousins came in to tie the game and send it to OT. Skins won it in OT. It was absolutely amazing as a Redskins fan. Then it all went to poo after.

Its a fuckup of absolute pure genius. Those 3 steps he takes towards and away from the ball are extremly aggressive as he's triyng to make room for himself and get closer to the bounce of the ball.

What would usually happen next is a big swing at the ball, trying to hit for a six. Its a bit of a high risk high reward shot that also tries to fuck with the bowler to change the position where the next ball bounces.

Except the absolute mad cunt left it. He attacked the bowler, then leaves it and gets out. It takes the skill of someone with a very acute sense of memory lose to be this fucking retarded.

The 2010 flyers coming back from 0-3 to reverse sweep the bruins was one of the craziest and most unexpected things I ever witnessed. I realize the kings did it to San Jose but the flyers were the first to do it since 1975.

I'm not a huge fan of Euro-foot, but this was pretty crazy.

As for me 2004 ALCS the "Three Days in October" were fucking insane.

Helmet Catch still makes me hate Asante Samuel.

Malcom Butler INT is objectively the greatest defensive play in NFL history.

Santonio Holmes Super Bowl 43.

David Ortiz batting 700 in the 2013 WS was fucking nuts.

Jason Lezak 2008 Olympics Men's 4x100 Freestyle Relay.

Music City Miracle.

I saw the Pagano Special Live. It was hilarious.

This most recent AFCC might have been the craziest thing I've ever seen if Gronk had scored the 2 point conversion.

Malice at the Palace was amazing.

2007 Fiesta Bowl.

2006 Rose Bowl.

Game 7 Bruins- Leafs 2013.

I fucking love sprotz.

What the fuck was Harbough thinking? Fucking idiot.

I don't get why coaches don't fust call a sweep and have the RB run backwards to end the clock.
>>
in theory the punt would've hung in the air and unless the guy kneeled immediately they would've had no time to even call a hail mary.

there's always the chance a mongoloid RB fumbles it if he runs backwards.
>>
>>66937541

The hindsight reactions to this playcall are unfathomably fucking stupid

There was absolutely nothing wrong with it

The odds of an interception there are insanely low. They HAD to mix in a pass to maximize their opportunities to score.

Plus Lynch is historically average at best in short yardage situations. This was proven throughout the game, earlier that season and even in the following season.

>>
probably not crazy, but defintely funniest

it was just after princess diana died, and all football teams had a minute's silence in respect

everton were at home to someone, can't remember who. The PA announcer says something along the lines of "and now all supporters, players etc will observe a one minute silence at the referee's whistle in respect of Princess Diana Spencer". Ref blow whistle, and a second later someone shouts "WHAT ABOUT DODI?" and the whole ground starts laughing, the ref had to end the 'silence' after about 10 seconds

If we're talking in person I saw Alex Gordon hitting the game tying homerun in the 2015 world series in the bottom of the 9th with one out.

I believe this effectively won the world series for the Royals. It's probably the craziest thing I'll ever have seen in person.

If it's not in person I'd say either the Boise St/oklahoma game or the Texas/USC rose bowl. I don't really even like college football but those games were awesome.
