Poland made a good point though, Kobe couldn't drag his team to the playoffs when they were trash in the mid 2000s. Even LeBron has been able to drag 76ers-tier trash teams into post season runs his whole career, Kobe doesn't have that team carrying ability.
As for Duncan, sure he's always had the best system/organization in the NBA helping him, but his supporting cast was weak at times too and he's never missed the playoffs.
