He doesn't fit anywhere. He's too slow and weak to play on the wing, obviously he's not a striker. They can play him in the midfield trio when they're playing against weaker teams. But when they're playing against the likes of Barca or Atletico, or playing in Champions League, it is better to have Casemiro as the third midfielder. Kroos and Modric aren't suited for defending, James obviously isn't a dmf either, so against top sides they get exposed if all 3 play.
He just doesn't fit in the 4-3-3 system against good teams. I think RM will potentially think about selling him this summer.
