As much as I want that to be a thing, it will never happen. They are more likely to remove it from playoffs than adding it to the regular season. I could easily see them experimenting with a 5v5 20min period, then a 4v4 20min period, then 3v3 until a winner is decided, or something similar to that. It would actually justify 3v3 in the regular season other than it being a gimmick to add excitement to the game. The shootout should be removed though. Regular season OT should be 4v4 for 10min, then 3v3 until a winner is decided. Make each game worth 3 points, if it goes to OT then winner gets 2 and loser gets 1.

McDavid is a lock for the Calder. The NHL wants to sell him as the next great player, and he has shown he's deserving of the award these past months. Panarin is older and carried by Kane. He doesn't deserve the Calder.
