Most of the time they'll let a small foul/handball in the box slide because they want to avoid criticism at all cost. Also a lot of them will do anything not to send a player off. it's actually a rarity to see a player sent off for two yellow card offences, it's usually yellow card -> last warning -> 2nd yellow card with the player subbed out after the last warning 90% of the time

also every commentator saying stuff like "it's too early in the game to give a yellow card.", "that was his first foul, a yellow card would've been harsh", "he's not that kind of player", and "yes, it was a foul/handbal, but giving a penalty for that would've been harsh" etc. should be taken out back and shot
