In England it definitely depends on the time of the year but he's a rough estimation:
35% Football
10% Rugby
10% Cricket
5% F1
5% Cycling
5% Horse Racing
5% Athletics
5% Tennis
5% Darts
5% Snooker
5% Golf
5% Other
Depends. In the winter there's a heavy focus on alpine sports, especially right now. Around the year though it's something like 40% football, 30% ice hockey, 20% tennis, 10% other stuff.
i forgot to add tennis but its mostly just gossip and half nudes of caroline wozniacki
Depends on the time of the year obviously. Lots of horses and rugby now because of Cheltenham and Six Nations. The Olympics will get a lot of coverage. But football and GAA are easily the biggest two sports.
30% Football
25% Basketball
25% Baseball
10% Hockey
5% Tennis
3% Other
2% Golf
1% Divegrass

Out of interest what are the biggest / main stories on there? Also 'Football' (I assume that's Gaelic since Soccer is separate) and 'GAA'... I thought they were the same thing?
Anyway for us as you can see the biggest things happening at the moment are the World T20 Cricket Champs (apparently - I don't really follow cricket apart from The Ashes), Champions League football (Arsenal gonna get BTFO by Barca), Six Nations rugby, Cheltenham horse racing, and the impending start of the F1 season
Also you can see at the top the sports that the BBC thinks people are most interested in: Football, F1, Cricket, Rugby U, Rugby L, Tennis, Golf, Athletics
East aus is different but the west is 80% aussie rules, 10% cricket, 5% soccer, 5% rugby league/union
It's completely seasonal, e.g. if Wimbledon is on then tennis will get nearly as much as football, if there's no grand slam there's no coverage at all. Surely it's the same most places.

I would guess you're underestimating football and boxing and overestimating darts and rugby. Again unless 6 nations is on.
>>66196547
The main stories are all Cheltenham right now but it will be all Champions League later tonight.
Gaelic + Hurling = GAA. Football = Soccer.
These are much bigger than rugby which would be the third most popular.
Gazzetta dello sport is
90% foootball
9% other sport news with some links to italy
0.5% anime (I am serious)
0.5% the rest
Rugby 25
football 25
basketball 20
tennis 10
trash games like winter"""""" "sports"""" 5
and others sports for the remaining
>>66197513
Basketball 20 and Tennis 10? lmao
Tennis, handball, F1, Rallye even Biathlon have more coverage than "basket"
40% football
35% skiing
10% F1
10%Tennis
5% other sports
60% football
35% cycling (including cyclocross)
5% other
>>66197513
>>66197586
Surely rugby doesn't get as much coverage as football? Even here it doesn't get that much
>>66197513
i thought football was nr.1 by far in france
>>66197673
How the fuck can skiing be so popular? What exactly is exciting about watching a man in spandex slowly slide down a white hill?
>>66197712
it's pretty much the only sport we're good at. i don't care much for it either.
>>66196644
Yeah I probably am underestimating football really. Maybe this instead
60% Football
10% Rugby
10% Cricket
5% F1
5% Golf
5% Tennis
5% Others
>>66197693
>>66197709
Rugby is really popular here, in some regions they don't care at all about football.
Obviously it varies, but a snapshot from today:
rugby 25%
league 15%
cricket 15% (world cup is on, though it'd be more)
formula 1 10% (Hamilton is visiting NZ)
netball 10%
soccer 5%
basketball 5%
combat 5%
horse racing 5%
hockey 5%
Cycling, golf, tennis, sailing, rowing etc. would all feature regularly too.
>>66198049
>based France
65% football
15% mma (ufc)
15% f1
5% memes (when someone scoring 40+ points in the nba, varejao/huertas/leandrinho news, broads in bikinis, etc)
>>66198049
Bullshit
We have the best rugby championship in the world and people barel go to the stadium...
>not even 15000 spectatrs per game...
>>66198424
thats still more than football spectators at toulouse or bordeaux
local sports are usually:
85% futbol
10% american football (90% nfl, 10% local)
3% baseball (both mlb and local)
2% basketball (99.9% nba, 0.1% local)
And of course if there's a boxing match they'll focus on that for at least two weeks and then drop it.
>>66198480
is this picture accurate
>30% football
>30% ice hockey
>30% Sagan
>10% tennis
