I just rewatched some of the 2014 Finals, and the Heat looked pretty bad aside from Lebron and Bosh. Wade already looked washed up. They were playing Battier, Norris Cole, Chris Anderson. That team was on its way to the trash and Lebron was right to jump ship, especially with how Bosh's health is no longer great. The current Cavs are still easily the favorites to make the Finals despite their issues. Where else could Lebron have gone that has a better shot?

Bosh has been out since the break but they're playing good ball anyway. Dragic and Wade are playing well, Winslow is coming on in his rookie season, and they have this rotation set now where Whiteside comes off the bench and destroys the other teams paint presence.

It works any number of ways. Typically they'll rotate off 2 or 3 starters then stagger the other 2 or 3 a few minutes later to prevent wholesale changes. It also depends if you're matching up specifically with what the other team is doing.
