To pontificate, what makes a player truly great, at least in my eyes, is his ability to make everyone else around him seem better than they are. Players like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird all won by making everyone around them better by distributing the ball (Jordan didn't really learn how to do this until the 90s, but when he did, it was over)
Whenver I watch Bird, he seems to get everyone else involved in the game, and I dont see that from Lebron when he plays basketball. Much of the time, he seems to just disappear, or go only Isos, which is not what a great player should do. This to me is the biggest difference showing the gap between lebron and all the other greats.
