Ole Miss game was a fluke. Team really came together after a piss poor showing against a sub-par SEC team. Clemson is going to be a friggin war. One of the most motivated team our there not named Crimson Tide.
Next year will be a lot of ups and downs since we lose a fair amount on defense and will (once again) have to break in a new QB. Hopefully Blake Barnett is the real deal.

I didn't know what to expect coming into the season. Coker didn't impress early,but him getting benched pissed him the fuck off. He played better game by game. Calvin coming alive helped as well. Henry was Henry, we knew he was the next great one.
Clemson hasn't seen a level of defense they'll see against Bama. Closest looking thing was Notre Dame, and look how that turned out. They'll score points, but 4 quarters of that D-line will show its effects.

I honestly think this was a coordinated strategy. Bleed Saban of staff and get the inside track on his recruiting circles. Anything to win.
As for Bama, this will be the least fun I've had watching a national championship season, if they down Clemson. Just not a great combination- defense has given up too many big plays and easy touchdowns over the top to make me feel they are historically dominant, and the offense sucks, thanks largely to a persistently discombobulated O-line. The Cotton Bowl was the first game I remember really, truly smiling and laughing during a game.

How do you guys feel about the resurgence of Tennessee? Worried, excited, or skeptical? I've noticed that Saban's disciples are spreading throughout the SEC, which is nice given that Tennessee runs a spread offense.
I bleed orange so I'm definitely ready, but I have to think you guys are excited to renew what has been in the past a GOAT rivalry, third saturday in october. There was some bitching this year about 'who has bama beaten' with all those three loss teams in the west. No doubt that Tennessee would've given bama a much better SECCG than florida did and that if Tennessee had been able to come through on Oklahoma, Florida, and arky maybe that win (twice) would've propelled bama to #1 seed in spite of dropping the Ole Miss game.

Alabama is the more talented team, but Clemson matches up well. Up-tempo spread-like offense.
Alabama loves to win second halves, so in my opinion it's up to Clemson to score as much as they can as fast as they can. If Clemson isn't up by at least two possessions at halftime they will lose.

Because it is a home game for Tenn and the overall talent you guys are returning, I feel that it will be Bama's greatest challenge next year.
I'm a little skeptical of Bama next year overall. Lots of returning talent everywhere, however, it's young. I'm especially concerned about leadership- I don't see any obvious seniors/juniors with the mojo to make another playoff run. Keep in mind this year's group is being led by a lot of long-time upper classmen- Henry, Kelly, Ragland- that we're going to lose. It may take a year for the next wave of leaders to establish themselves, as well as another (seemingly requisite) 2-3 loss year to provide motivation for the underclassmen.
Calling a 11-2 season, losses to TN and LSU keep us out of SECCG, victory in the Orange against G5 champ.
