I think the league sucks now however that said, these playoffs have goat potential.
Carolina, New England, Pittsburgh on a tear, Seattle dark horsing it, Arizona a great team on a untouchable streak with CotY, Redskins looking interesting, Denver doing some underdogging.
Also for the record the greatest team in history was the 2013 Seattle Seahawks and the NFL needed to die right there.

It has glimpses of many different forms of sport within the one game. Sumo, chess, soccer, etc. Each play is really engaging.

If someone like Wes Welker, who has probably sustained over 10 concussions during his playing career, were to die while on the field I think that would do it. The league has survived class action lawsuits as well as undeniable proof of brain damage which is now public knowledge. You can already see in the youth leagues an increase in touch/flag football and less middle/upper class people allowing their kids to play. Most of those people still watch anyways. It's not as technical as basketball or soccer, but there are bursts of beautiful execution on nearly every play such as routes and cuts by recievers or a runningbacks footwork before he hits the gaps, and the QB position is just brilliant.
Even the lineplay is extemely technical if you know what you're watching. Swim moves, feints, cuts, stunts. It's as technical as Sumo, as I referenced.
