The owners want to sell, the coach is woefully under prepared and unqualified as far as coaches go, not to mention that he has no idea how to properly utilize 2 of the, arguably, top 5 hockey players on earth. Get rid of everyone save Sid, Geno, Letang, Kessel, Fleury, Matta, fire the coaching staff, the general manager, and just start all over again. This team is never going to win anything if this continues. Not a Stanley Cup, not a playoff series, not even a fucking division title. It hurts to care about and watch this team night after night.

There's nothing wrong with Kessel in my opinion. He's been relatively productive givin the game that he's allowed to play within the Pens' system. I understand the idea of, "200 ft hockey," and in theory, it's a solid plan. But not with the Penguins. Mike Johnston's system focuses so heavily on have a ton of puck-moving defensemen being able to go with the puck into and through the neutral zone, then to play it to the forwards. And then to have the offensively gifted forwards play a very tightly regulated defensive game. But the problem with this is that the Pens don't have a ton of PMDs, and their forwards, like Kessel, are much more properly implemented into a very strongly offensively oriented gameplan. You can say whatever you want about Dan Bylsma, his meme system, and his complete and utter disregard for work in the neutral zone, but at least he knew how to properly implement his players into a game that suited them. Maybe not in the best fashion, they couldn't play strong defense in the playoffs, but at least the players weren't being underutilized.
