Derek Carr is my favorite player in the NFL and I'm not even a Raiders fan, I grew up Colorado watching the Broncos. I want him to have a HoF career to avenge his brother. Not only that, but he's extremely likable and easy to cheer for.
Anyone else have a favorite player that plays for a team you don't even like? Who and why?

Shouldn't you be asleep, Derrick?

Nah, mang.
It's prime NFL shitposting hours
Carr seems too stupid and reckless to have a long career in the NFL. He plays like a black QB, always diving headfirst on scrambles instead of sliding, taking unnecessary sacks by holding on to the ball for too long, and he tries to make the perfect throw sometimes instead of the safe play.
He will get injured eventually, a real shame because he's got the arm but I don't think he's got the brains to be elite.

Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player despite playing for the packers because he was my favorite player at Cal.

And his wife is a literal 10/10 who saved herself for him.
Enjoy your sloots.

Once he gets a better team around him it will be ok
I have no idea why, I love Baker Mayfield and I'm an Alabama fan.

It's his second year in and he's posting stats comparable to some of the veteran elite of the league. Give him time and he'll get smarter and wiser. You can't expect a rookie to start and suddenly be a maestro, they're going to make mistakes but if they're smart, they'll learn from them.

Wow, it's almost like he's playing like someone thrust into a starting QB job in only their first couple of years.

I wish there was an elite Bama QB to cheer for in the NFL.
AJ McCarron comes the closest. He looked pretty good in training camp and I honestly don't know why he isn't starting somewhere. His TD/INT ratio was insane.

Who is he playing now?
