Galloway could turn out to be decent I think. His positioning could be worked on (He's not a natural left back so no biggy). He's pacy and is good at talking the ball from a player when he is behind them.
>>
>>63939304
>Kane
isn't nearly as proven as Lukaku.
>Eriksen
Kinda hit and miss. Not as young. Only been good the last year or so.
>Alli
Seriously? Has he even played 10 games for you?
>Dier
Good but not great

Just my opinion, but I feel as though Everton edge it
>>
>>63939415
Yes definitely. It's good to see him getting minutes, just a shame it's at lb because he simply can't attack like Baines. Could very well be a first choice cb in a few years when Stones inevitably leaves.
>>
where will Lukaku transfer in the summer?
>>
>>63939366
I think he's a pretty shit manager but he'll still finish top 10 this season bar a horrific injury crisis
>>
>>63939605
Ah yeah, should be that bad, but personally I'd be slightly uncomfortable with Martinez managing my team
>>

He's wary of plastics after the whole Chelsea debacle. So probably nowhere until he's guaranteed a starting position.

official best <23 players in the prem this season:

1. barkley
2. lukaku

5. kane

>>
>>63939304
Dier could have been better if he stayed in Sporting.
>>
>>63940291
If you didn't purely go off stats and hype you'd realise that Deulofeu has been better than Barkley and probably Lukaku this season. Also Stones would definitely make top 7/8. Those 4 are scarily good and scarily young at the moment.
>>
>>63940078
Literally none of those would get into Everton's starting 11 except maybe Martial to pair with Lukaku
>>
>>63939170
>barkley
overrated as hell OP
>>
>>63940511
6 goals and 5 assists so far this season. Sure thing mate. Do you even watch football?
>>
Why is everybody wanking to Martial? Sincere question, he just looks completely mundane.
>>
>>63940743
I think people just compare him to Thierry Henry because he has a similar skin tone. That's about as much thought that goes into their reasoning for his supposed greatness
>>
>>63940856
Makes sense considering some thought Januzaj was the next balon d'or based on two goals against whoeverthatwas
>>
>>63940856
come on now, he's been overhyped by united fans and his price tag is ridiculous but he has talent, his first matches with our NT have been great
he has the ability to consistently beat his man, if you're the everton fan who started the thread you probably remember how he tore coleman a new one
>>
>>63940944
Obviously I'm exaggerating. I do support Everton and I was at that game, but recall Martial being completely anonymous.
>>
>>63940682
Barkley is one of the most selfish players really.
He's basically le take too many touches then shoot high man
>>
>>63941326
Did you not see the 5 assists bit? I'll admit he could be like that the past couple of seasons but he's improved massively this season
>>
>>63941470
The numbers are there but every game it seems like there are always a few plays where he tries to do it all himself when there are better options. Or maybe Kone and Lukaku are whiny little pricks flapping their arms around like children every time Barkley shoots and doesn't score. He's a good player, I hope he stays with the club
>>

>>
>>63941572
He's obviously not perfect but if he does the right thing often enough to get those stats you can't complain. Also Lukaku is a whiny twat who waves his arms around whenever someone doesn't pass to him.

I don't like the cunt but lol that's just stupid
>>
>>63942224
Yeah, I love our whole team right now except Howard. Butland would be great.

There must be something going on between Martinez and Mirallas. It's plain stupidity that one of our best and most talented attackers gets sidelined for the likes of Cleverley and Naismith
>>
>>63942534
Martinez only ever plays with one winger and I'd easily have Deulofeu over Depay. And even if we did play with two I'm not convinced he's better than Mirallas.
>>
>>63939170
Lukaku is 29

Has two good years left in him tops
>>
>>63942803
That's ideal. We'll probably be selling him for £40m in a year or two anyway
>>

>>
>>63943047
kek

KEK

Depay is just a pacey black man, he cant shoot, he cant pass, he cant cross, just some okay free kicks against Dutch pub sides

Deulofeu has the pace, agility and technical ability to get past defenders to cut in for a pass or whipped in cross.

Also from todays game against Millzbruh he shows his ability to shoot as well
>>
>>63943047
You probably don't even know what Deulofeu looks like. But he's had 3 goals, 9 assists this year. Care to share Depay's exploits this season?
>>
>>63943211
Yeah, very clinical when he does shoot. I think he's only had about 4 shots all year; scored 3 and the other got parried out for a tap-in
>>
>>63943047
>I can promise you
>promise

Awfully confident for someone who has clearly never seen the kid play football. You do realise a high price tag and playing for a top 4 club doesn't automatically make a player amazing. Hell, it doesn't even make them above average.

As a neutral who actually watches these players I would just like to point out your idiocy. Deulofeu is, and has been all season, a significantly better player than Depay.
>>
>>63943211
>>63943229
lol.. I do know who delofeu is, his identity is not some sort of secret.

Depay is rated far more highly by managers and others players who know far more about the sport than anyone on /sp/. People who have dedicated years of their lives and are paid millions of dollars for their knowledge can assure you that he's far more than some "pacey black man". What an ignorant statement.

I don't need to prove anything by the way, he'll do it for me over the next 10 years.

I have to ask, if you guys are such visionaries why aren't you out their leading PL teams to championships? Absolutely ridiculous

K E K

Depay is only highly rated by Van Laal (who is the biggest hack in footy today) and on FIFA

>durr appeal to authority fallacy, you dont know shit because you arent a manager or a play in the prem

Literally kill yourself, Depay has literally done nothing all season, while Deulofeu has a bag load of assists and a few goals.

Just because United paid a boat load for him and he ripped up the fucking Dutch league does NOT mean he is any good
>>
>>63943429
It's the meme that all black players are 5+ years older than they claim. It's because in a lot of African countries it's easy to fake and lie about your age to make you more attractive to clubs looking for players. This of course doesn't make sense because Lukaku is Belgian but whatever...
>>
>>63943527
in what way did I do that? You're completely disregarding my point btw. Your opinion along with mine is completely fucking irrelevant in comparison to a top level football manager. Also, he's not only rated by Van Gaal, but even pretending you know even 1/4 as much as him about the sport is fucking laughable
>>
>>63939170
chelsea has all the best young players, but >mouyes doesn't like playing them.
>>
>>63943688
He just likes to loan them out until they are at a ripe age then sell them off
>>
>>63943632
Kenny Dalglish knows 100000x more about football than the general pop when he spent £35m for Andy Carroll but everyone knew he was a bog standard player. Guess who was right?

Managers aren't infallible. So hiding behind their opinions to avoid having to backup your stupid opinions is itself stupid, cowardly and lazy.
>>
>>63943688
But he's just playing the numbers game. If you have 50 young players in the reserves or on loan at any time you're bound to have a couple of good ones. Although he clearly doesn't rate his youth that much if he's trying to fork out £40m on John Stones
>>
>>63943710
I think he just wants to kill their talent so bigger teams will not even want to steal them away and his old man team can try and win another cl, doesn't seem to be working out though.
>>
>>63943790
I've seen some players at vitesse, traore was pretty good and would have done much better than fallcow if you ask me, also christian atsu and lucas piazon were pretty good too but I understand he wouldn't play them in the first team at the time also piazon was only good for the first half of the season tbf.
>>
>>63943738
lol... so depay is going to flop like Carroll? lol you retard

Managers aren't infallible, but you and the rest of this board sure aren't either. I don't think he will flop, I think he will turn out to be much better than delofeu, but as I said before that doesn't matter, since my opinion like yours is worth essentially nothing compared to professionals. I'm not hiding behind their opinions, I'm simply admitting they're a lot more knowledgeable more than me about the sport, something you seem incapable of doing.
>>
>>63943875
that reminds me, what happened to van ginkel? I know he tore an ACL but he must have recovered since
>>
>>63943828
>doesn't seem to be working out though though

No shit. Lukaku and De Bruyne alone have 14 goals and 10 assists between them so far this season. Who's Chelsea's best player? Willian?
>>
>>63943948
He's at Stoke.
>>
>>63943905
>I don't think
>I think

Exactly, it's all just opinion at the end of the day. But don't expect your opinion to be on equal terms with someone who has actually seen the players play all season and have reasons and evidence for their opinion other than "van Gaal said so". In fact, even van Gaal himself would have to concede that Deulofeu has been better than Depay this season.

Only time will tell, but in the meantime keep your opinions to yourself if they add nothing to discussion and simply parrot another's opinion, of which your just an empty vessel for.
>>
>>63944136
why do you keep going with this "You don't watch" bullshit? I've already stated that's bullshit, I watch a lot of sawker. Also, just watching it doesn't mean fuck all, but I doubt you'd know that. Your opinion is just as worthless as mine, deal with it.
>>
>>63944223
Honestly HONESTLY how much have you seen Deulofeu play this year?

And yes JUST watching it doesn't guarantee you know shit, but not watching it at all guarantees you're talking shit
>>
>>63939516

>Kane isn't nearly as proven as Lukaku

How is the "kane is unproven" meme still going on? He's scored 8 in the league and is probably on course for another 20 goal season like Lukaku, and they're about the same age.

At this point I think they're about par with each other t.bh

>Dier is good but not great

True but he definitely has the potential to be great. He's been one of the best defensive mids in the league and is improving every time he plays.

I think Kane still needs to finish this season strong before he's classed as "consistent". As for Lukaku, I'm honestly just waiting for him to go at this point.

That's the problem with supporting a good but not GREAT team. The players have to walk a tightrope where they're good but not TOO good because then the big clubs just try and snap them up.

I don't think the players are walking a tightrope, they're nearly always happy to leave for bigger clubs.

That's simply not true. He can actually play really nice long balls when he sits deeper and clearly he can pick out passes in and around the box if he's got that many assists.

Also he doesn't actually have many long shots now. Most of his goals this season have been tap-ins just from being in the right place at the right time.

>>
>>63940400
You're delusional if you honestly believe that. He's been one of Spurs' best players this season as a DM. If he was playing in Portugal still, odds are that he'd be playing as a CB or RB and that's not even to mention that the quality of the Portuguese league is far below that of the Premier League.
>>
>>63949680

Everton has just enough resources to buy top tier talent but not enough to actually retain them once they develop.

Tbf they've actually done a pretty good job at holding onto their best players when they get put in the spotlight. Still got Stones, Baines, Coleman, etc. All players which the papers claimed they'd be forced into selling. I think it's only Fellaini who they've let go and I'd hardly say that was a bad deal for them.

None of these clubs have anything to offer outside high wages and their transfer and treatment of youth products means most of them get cast adrift from 18-21 (aka the formative years).

Everton have Liverpool around the corner so youngsters can swap from red to blue if needed, and since Everton actually play youngsters you get to shine and either land a "lucrative" Everton contract which is 4-5 years + garunteed to play or shipped onto a bigger club.
