NFL should move to ASP because that game was some WWE stuff. They wanted the story of Osweiller being the next great QB by beating Brady. But no one is gonna care because of all the favorable flags thrown so Denver could win.
>>
>>63909448

He said to wind the play clock to 40, not the game clock.

>Collinsworth shilling for the refs saying they got it right.

They made an obscure reference to an "excessive" 4th timeout to stop the clock. Then they NEVER blew the whistle or made any indication on the field that the clock had started back up. It just started running.

If that's the rule, fine. But did anyone see any indication that the clock was running again? I sure didn't.

>>
>>63909749
A good indication of the clock running is it Fucking running. Brady's a retard for not knowing the rules. The holding call was slight and some refs might not call it but at a major point in the game you don't fuck with anything that can give you a penalty and he grabbed the inside of his shirt(slightly, unfortunately a small hold is still a hold)
Stay buttmad

I'm sad at how many people whose teams almost never play the Patriots are ecstatic about this game. Why do you hate us so much?

Oh, and a loss hurts whether you're 10-1 or 1-10. Don't tell people they can't be unhappy at what was a pretty terrible game for Patriots fans.
>>
>>63909874
So it seems but the officials communicted it very poorly, by the look on Bellichicks face I think they really fucked up. How often does Bill stand on the sideline screaming WTF at an official?
>>
>>63909937
Rumor had it that Goddell attended the Pats Giants game, it being the first pats game he went to all year. I can only think its because he fully expected the Giants win. Last week against the bills would have been way too fucking obvious. This was the natrual choice.

I was never a fan of the

Not defending him here really, but I feel the same way he does: He said technically it was right because they followed the guidelines from the rulebook, but they should have made it clear when they started the game clock again.

>>
>>63910248

Wait so Belichick doesn't believe in Offensive Pass Interference?
>>
>>63910023
And to be fair, this was the first games the refs didnt btfo the Buncos
>>
>>63910346
Kek and they got it right and pulled the flag. What's an atrocity is the holding on Miller all night. That dude was tearing the line up but was held so much. If they started calling that Brady would've been sacked a dozen times.
>>
>>63910346
>pats fags actually whining about a flag that got picked up
>>
The refs are what make the sport, of course its easy for us to see at home with 45,000,000 cameras filming and 20 different HD angels of every catch. But imagine the ref running around in the snow all night calling the game freezing of course shit like this happens.

But its what makes it so much more tense the human element, that 2% chance that the refs pull a call like the one that ended the replacement refs. It just adds a sense of chaos to the game that is awesome(at least in my opinion). If you hate that and want just robots making all the calls and done perfect every game you would kill the sport.

Also im a philly fan and I've become so immune to losing that I just want to see something entertaining at least.
>>
The Patriots commit more OPI penalties than any other team in the league, so I don't know why they are acting shocked when they get called for them.
>>
>the broncos were called for more penalties this game than the pats
>>
>>63910295
Actuall no a maori or kiwi bud. You want another guess?

It seem the game clock went from 40 to 24 after the play was dead too. Perhaps Bellichick is a maori too as he seemed not too understand the call either.
>>
>Have an offensive gameplan that involves 2 small white guys and a small RB run across the middle, be surprised when all three of them get injured
>rely on a TE who gets injured every single year, and has since college, be surprised when he gets injured
>have a team-wide strategy of bending the rulebook, be surprised when it backfires
>lose against a team who's defense couldn't stop Alex Smith and is playing with their backup QB
>realize you've had a babby schedule all year and the best team played was the Jets.

Fuck off Patriots fans.
>>
>>63910552
Or perhaps Bellichick has some sort of stake in the outcome of the game, which could sway his reactions to certain calls.

There's a difference between a coach on the field versus someone watching on TV. Anyone watching the game on TV who's not completely retarded knew the ref was referring to the game clock
>>
Why would giving them 40 seconds on the play clock when there's only 20 or so seconds left on the game clock be beneficial to them?
>>
>>63910185
They are playing Philly, which would be a given win for half the teams in the nfl if they were playing them.
>>
Section 5 Article 4(d): No yardage penalty will be assessed for the first excess team timeout, but a 10-second runoff of the game clock may be applicable pursuant to (f) below. At the conclusion of an excess timeout taken while time is in, the game clock shall start with the ready-for-play signal. For any excess timeout charged to the defense, the play clock is reset to 40 seconds.

There's something hilariously ironic about Pats fans bitching about the officiating. Hasn't the league giftwrapped enough for you faggots already? Shut the fuck up and take the loss like men. You lost to a better team.
>>
>>63912900
That's what's really hilarious, historically the Pats are always on the plus side of refball. This is one of those few games where both sides got screwed. And now the Pats think there's some grand conspiracy against them.

If they get screwed out of a superb owl like the seahawks or get systematically refballed like the Raiders over the decades, they might have a point. But for now they're just whiny bitches who's team plays like a bunch of undisciplined niggers and they got flagged for it.
>>

>>
>>63913058
literally has nothing to do with anything i said, testaverde did the same thing on the jets in 2001 and it was called the same way
>>
>>63913085
He brought it back into his possession by the time woodson hit him, so it was at worst moving backwards which meant a fumble regardless.

Patirots, always going to deny when refball goes their way by reinterpreting the ruels. Just like when the refs stole that TD from the Gnats 2 weeks ago.

>>
>>63913104
No watch the play again, he's tucking it (thus moving it forward) when the ball is knocked loose.

They reviewed it and made the correct call, it's just a terrible rule. If you disagree you don't understand the rule or need to get your vision checked.

The motion is clearly him moving the ball backwards, you can't tuck the ball and have it move forward, you're violating physics.

It was a clear fumble and the first of many refballs that Brady personally benefited from.

Notice how he has to cry to the refs now after he couldn't take a minor hit to the knee?

Can someone please explain the additional time out/injury rule when a Broncos player was injured with around 40 seconds left, and then when the Patriots resumed there was 10 seconds left because "they weren't informed the play clock was still running"...Soooo the Patriots should have called an additional time out on top of the time out to take the injured Bronco off the field in order to stop the clock???
>>
>>63910475
I disagree, I'd rather have rules that are clear and set in fucking stone for the sake of gamesmanship. Baseball is best in this regardbbecause rules are almost always known because of how long they've been around. It has always been my opinion that many of these ticky tack penalties exist solely for the refs to be able to manipulate outcomes
>>
>>63912977
>both sides got screwed
haha what?
>>
>>63913165
You still haven't watched the play, tucking the ball is bringing it down into his body to run with it. The motion of tucking the ball down is considered to be forward under the Tuck Rule.

The rule change about hitting a QB's knees occurred in 2006 after Carson Palmer, they just enforced it more strongly after 2008.

I'm starting to think you don't have a very strong grasp of the rules.
>>
>>63910475
