that is what happened: shaq showed up fat as fuck after the 3peat because he waited till the start of the season before having toe surgery. he showed up morbidly obese and was useless on D.
shaq then proceeded to having a falling out with wade, his third with a star teammate (penny, kobe) which goes to show that his lovable fat friendly guy is an act and he's truly a dickhead behind the scenes.
Really though at the end of the day, egos from both sides ended what could've been something special.

Normally this would go unchecked as superstarts usually get what they want, but Kobe had enough status to finally call out Shaqs lazy ass, and instead of Shaq shaping up, he abandoned ship, and died out quickly as his age stripped his raw ability and he didn't practice enough for his skills to keep up

So tell me who the fuck steps up on that team without Godbe's 28 and 30+ PPG??? Because without Godbe Shaq damn sure doesn't win 3 rings...pfft probably doesn't even win a single ring, which is why he left Orlando. He was lazy as fuck and didn't have the annoying ass OCD drive that Kobe had. Shaq didn't have time for that MUH PERFECTION shit, which is why his career didn't last anywhere near as long as Kobe and won't even come close to Kobe's legacy.
Now if he went back to Orlando and got a ring there, maybe mentored Dwight "SOFT" Coward then maybe he could've saved his legacy. Getting carried by Wade to another ring won't help much for his sake.
