Championships aren't the only measuring stick but they do count a lot. In such types of games, better teams are playing and there is far less likelihood of players on either team taking plays off because of what's at stake. Furthermore, calm under pressure is tested, especially for the skilled position where fine motor skills can be affected by nerves. Improvisation (instinct) also matters more in these types of games.
It is the factors above where it's obvious that players such as Peyton Manning are missing a key ingredient to succeed at the highest levels.
As for Romo, you're clearly delusional and know almost nothing about football if you actually believe he's on the same level as a Brady or Rodgers. It's not even close and it's very, very obvious.

I don't think Eli Manning is better than Rodgers even if Manning has more SB wins. Manning, in his two SB wins, did have something that I haven't seen very much of post-2000: a pass rush that I have not seen any contemporary QB handle.
For whatever reason, the Giants defense cruised during the regular season but come playoff time they were devastating. The best I've seen since the early 1990s with Buddy Ryan's Eagles and his 1993 Oilers team.

Romo is a good QB and is an absolute steal considering he was an undrafted free agent. Speaking of UFA, a good comparison to Romo is Jeff Garcia. Romo is the better QB of the two but no one should confuse those guys with bona fide Hall of Fame players.

And personally, I say the Cowboys should go for Brandon Allen. He won't go high, so we can grab some other good picks and, more importantly, he has good fundamentals and has spent several years running away because his offensive line was shit, so he'll know how to dodge. Give him a couple of years and I can see him as one of those NFL quarterbacks who came out of fucking nowhere and became great (i.e. Tony Romo)
