if people want to get an idea of what Rockhold vs Weidman will not be completely dissimilar to machida vs Rockhold.
Rockholds striking lies in his kicks and a counter right hook. He doesn't use his hand to set stuff up. He has a very methodical approach. His style relies on an opponent playing at his pace. If Weidman is pressuring him to the outside of the cage then Rockhold will literally be unable to throw his kicks and his hands aren't going to save him. If you see his fight against Jacare he Rockhold was having success when Jacare let up on the pressure and Rockhold could get distance.
Whoever controls the center of octagon will win the fight. It is the key to both of their games. Quite frankly, I don't see a way that Rockhold can lay on pressure to actually back Weidman up. During the machida fight, machida had his most success in the fourth when he was able to get off the cage and Open up. One thing I noticed was machida was landing the left body kick on Weidman a lot. That is one of rockholds best weapons. if Weidman can keep Rockhold on the outside, it will be a non factor. If Weidman can't keep Luke on the outside, the liver kicks could be a real problem for the Chris.
Rockhold relies on a physical size advantage to pressure his opponent while Weidman uses his footwork and constants feints. Rockhold will not be able to bully Weidman around the cage. Rockhold will be working off his back foot the entire fight, but I expect he will find opening to strike. I doubt the openings he find will be enough to finish Weidman and I don't envision Rockhold getting a decision over him.

and as far as tdd goes, it's literally irrelevant, Rockhold can out scramble and out work Weidman on the mat any day of the week, month or year from the bottom or otherwise. He has a size and strength advantage that Chris will have never faced before in his career, as well as a much higher IQ and pedigree on the ground.
If I was willing to concede anything it's that Chris has a chance in the first round, if he hasn't either finished Rockhold or damaged him beyond repair then it's over simple as that

I will be very surprised to Weidman on the outside for long. He literally has some of the best center control in the game. I do agree his rushing in can be foolish (the combination he caught Andy with the first time was risky and his wild chase after Vitor was goofy) and rockholds counter right is deadly, but his counter game didn't go much beyond that right hook. Also, the times Weidman has gotten sloppy like that was when He got emotional and Andy got in his head or his general animosity toward Vitor. Outside of that, Weidman stays quite composed in the ring. I don't see this fight being emotionally charged outside of maybe the later rounds.

I just straight up disagree with this, but we cant really say for sure until we actually see them in there. Weidman is elite wrestler and has fantastic bjj. I don't think people are aware of how quickly he adapted to bjj outside of just mma.

The Belfort chase was foolish but he recovered in about a half a second and still perfectly defended the front head kick that came his way (which was by the way a faster head kick than the spinning back head kick that Rockhold couldn't see coming). Another thing is everyone criticizes the rushing of Anderson Silva, and it's valid, but he had to make a move at some point. Anderson Silva has always been impossibly difficult to finish. He forced him off balance with that weird upwards jab he does and noticed there was nowhere for him to go so he went for it. Yeah, there were three and a half more rounds to go but judging by the way the fight was going by that point it was looking to be just more of the same. He struck at the perfect time.

-achieved an incredible 900k buys as a female headliner on an MMA card (how remarkable is that, yeah, try to find one more female who’s headlined a ppv, let alone done #s that put her in top ten most popular ppvs in history)
-probably just headlined an event that exceeded 900k buys
-avidly donates to charities and struggling gyms
-elevated every one else’s earning potential by bringing Ina new kind of fan
