no curry over took allen. curry doesnt need a play maker to get his shots
>>

Are a fucking retard who were Allen's playmakers in Milwaukee or especially Seattle

I'll wait
>>
>>63612140
and he did shit with winning. Also allen style was not a shooter in those years.

Curry is a ballhandler who can shoot which is unreal. no one has ever combined being a shooter and a ball handler
>>
>>63612245
ok
>>
>>63612140
Cassell was awesome. Ray was a pretty solid playmaker for others but most of his perimeter looks were off passes.

His Seattle years are a better example of him creating his own looks. Still he does it nowhere to the degree of Curry.

When you factor in his ball-handling ability and it getting him separation for his shots, as well as his quick release and ability to hit difficult 3's, yes. Steve Nash was more purely accurate, though.
>>
yes, AINEC tbqh famm
>>
Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr are all better shooters than Curry. Don't fall for the ESPN meme. Remember they tried to hype LeBron as being better than Kobe back in 08 and 09? Anthony Davis as the next GOAT? Now they want you to believe that Steph is already the greatest shooter.

I mean if we go by fg% then Deandre jordan is GOAT

>>63615213
not the way I meant. the offense runs through him and he starts the offense even without the three point shot.
>>
>>63615152
Damn you got me! I love Kerr but come on dude.

While playing on teams with all-time greats and defense collapsing players like Jordan, Duncan, etc.

His % comes from: 726/1599. 1599 3PA. A fucking joke. Cool he has one stat record cause he never shot that often, let alone played major minutes or contributed in any great way beside sometimes defenses stopped caring about him constantly sitting at the 3 line.
>>
>>63615309
Yeah, I'm looking at that list. Tyson Chandler is best and the other 19 player sin the top 20 are either centers or big power forwards.

How do you think he beat the initial defender? With his superior athleticism? They were scared of his shot

>>63615108
What a stupid fucking post this is

And now >inb4 the Curry dickriders who couldn't even read the reply properly
>>
>>63615759
He never got those shots because he simply couldn't shoot inside the 3 without getting roughed around by the larger bodies. Except he could have if he put effort into improving his physical game. Don't get me wrong, Kerr was and still is one of the greatest minds in basketball, but the fact that he didn't improve his game after his crazy college career is on him.
>>
>>63615108

>records equal best at something

im sorry if that was true, wilt would be GOAT but he's not

>>63615465

>>
>>63616523
<18 mpg in his career, compared to Nash (even with his shit time at LA) which is >31 minutes. Or Ray Allen at >35.

If your one saving grace is that he almost played 25 mpg in a season ONCE, I'm not feeling like you're gaining much ground here.
>>
>>63615108
He's second to Kerr in career 3-point %, and he's never lead the league in 3-point % in a single season. Admittedly he takes more difficult shots than most players, but I actually consider that a flaw since he could pass up tougher attempts for open teammates.

If Steve Nash had the green light and mindset to shoot till you drop like Curry has, the no, we'd be arguing if Curry is on Nash's level.

But since Nash didn't and was a pass-first player, then yes, Curry is the best shooter of all time.
>>
>>63620291
And Glen Rice needs to be discussed too if we're talking pure shooting.
>>
>>63620335
Curry is far superior to him and even Ray Allen because he does it off the dribble
>>
Not even debatable
>>
Kobe in his prime was a better shooter.
>>
>>63622269
needed this kek. thanks anon
>>
>>63620291
Curry's ability to create a shot blows away Nash's and this makes him a more potent shooting threat overall.
Nash would beat literally anyone, Curry included, more than 50% of the time in an All-Star Weekend-style 3-point contest.
>>
>>63622269

when he got hot, Kobe was unstoppable

infact him, arenas, mcgrady, jordan and bird were at literally unstoppable when they got hot...even 3 or 4 steps behind the three point line
>>
>>63623932
kinda like curry this season
>>
>>63623932
Jordan and Bird didn't have the range of Arenas, Mcgrady, Kobr or Curry. They were still stuck in the retard 80s/90s mindset where you're too busy pretending to be tough while playing a non-combat light-contact sport instead of just putting the damn ball in the hoop.
>>
>>63623932
Curry is unstoppable
>>
It's not even close. The degree of difficulty of his shots and quick release shit on Allen, Miller, West, and the rest of those keks.
>>
>>63611976

No, any high profile shooter from the 90s were better.
>>
Curry plays PG of course he's going to look better. PG's suck ass in the NBA, they barely know how to play D, so when you have someone who can't keep up with you and you can peel off them you're going to look better. Does Curry even go for layups? He only really drives and then pulls up for a jumper, it seems liek you just play the shot 90% of the time and he stops hitting so much shit and goes back to being a chuck-happy average PG like he was 4 years ago.
>>
Too streaky. Do you not remember the finals he almost choked away? It's easy to play out of your head when it's November and the whole league plays at the pace of a pickup game, but come June opponents will get in his head and Iggy will have to bail him out again.
>>
>>63625240

you mean the finals where the cavs had to double team him 30 feet from the basket and his team played 4v3 offense for most of the series?
>>
>>63625358

Best pure shooters:
Larry Bird
Steve Nash
Alex English
Reggie Miller
Mark Price
Steve Kerr
Grant Hill (if you consider 15-20ft shooting to be an art despite it being a statistically poor shot)

I'd say Curry will easily be top 10 after his career is said and done.
>>
yeah, especially since most of his shots are contested. imagine if he shot all open looks like kerr did.
allen and miller were great too, but they couldn't shoot off the dribble like steph does

meme curry got worked by a literal nobody Dellavadova. if Shumpert's jumper went in in game 1, everybody would talk about how Curry was completely shook and choked like a bitch. it was honestly a disgrace that the dubs dropped 2 games and were taken to the wire by a team of lebron, tristan thompson, dellavadova, james jones, jr smith, shumpert, and mozgov. that was their whole rotation in the finals.
>>
Pistol Pete and Reggie Miller were both better.

Reggie was probably the best as he came from the rough hand-check era wile Maravich played in the cocaine era and Curry plays in the touch foul era.
