MMA isn't even close to mainstream. Other than autismbros most people don't give a flying fuck about ufc or any of its fighters unless it's something really unusual or in the case of supporting rousey, they >want to be on the right side of history come on, it's 2015!
At best it's a lower secondary sports. At worst it's a meme "sport" that gets its 15 minutes every so often like extreme or Olympic sports but nobody who matters gives a regular fuck.
