He has so many more chips though. It's easy to call them out for not playing to win, but there's a million dollars at stake for 2nd. Starting the shoving at McKeehen a million dollars richer might not be the worst strategy.
>>
>>63483704
No chance. McKeehen will only call shoves with tier 1 hands. He doesn't want to risk doubling someone up and potentially challenging him, plus the 3-handed dynamic favors him more than heads up does.
>>
It's 5:30 AM here, I don't think I can stay up any longer. As I slowly rip in peace, I hope Blumenfield somehow manages to win, even though I know almost for sure McMeme is gonna win this.

>>
>>63483996
>>63484025
>>63484046
Tbh Schwartz looks like your typical neckbeard basement dweller, but it's evident he just stopped giving a shit and let himself go, but on the other hand he's been through a log of shit in his life from what I've read. He's the kind of player-character/underdog I really like, that could really use the money he'd win. I kind of wanna see him win something big.

>>63484084
Bullshit, I don't get 'ALWAYS playing aggressively'. Sometimes you wanna stick long until the flop at least, you don't have to raise like crazy. McKeehen just happened to feed off the energy of playing at a boring Wednesday night in a casino, and got freakishly lucky.

And don't forget about the pressure of playing in the televised table, with all the lights and shit. Sometimes even extremely experienced players make mistakes. Schwartz is a talent, if he applies himself you'll be talking about him within 2-3 years.
>>
>that dig at Philly's awful sports teams
I like it
>>
That shove with deuces is literally terrible. McKeehen's 3-bet was to like 5.4M or so, Blumenfield only had 11.5 or whatever. Even if McKeehen was 3-betting light, WHICH HE HASN'T BEEN DOING, he would be priced in to call with his A5 or whatever trash. It's gonna be a flip at the very best.
>>
Is this fucking real?

AK?

I mean fucking really?
>>
How mad would you be if the dude you have to come from behind to win sucked out on the river a few days before.
>>
>Flop top 2
>Again

>>

>>
fuuuuuuuuck
>>
>>63484239
Open limping small pairs is terrible. You can disagree, it just means you're bad at poker.
>>
>>63484239

Not reading this argument drama BS, but no, Schwartz will never be a well-known player. Too many tantrums, too unkempt if not downright gross. You ever notice how all the guys who last and are well known are also decent looking?

Even when McKeehen wins this, he'll be quickly forgotten and replaced. They wanted Colman because he's a good looking guy, but he turned all the attention away.

The poker media will find another, better looking alternative to the likes of Schwartz and McKeehen because it has to.
>>
Mckeehen is literally one of us, all this shit talk and self loathing is sad.
>>
>>63484295
This.

McKeehen is NOT a good look for poker.

All fun and games about being autistic aside, he's arrogant and very boring to watch. No aura about him. A very good poker player nonetheless, but a horrible face of poker to showcase to the rest of the world.
>>
Co-champions?
>>
>>63484293
The table was boring and he was OPEN. LIMPING as much as it looked like.

I agree...you fold that shit in middle position in a cash game for sure.
>>
>>63484319
What happened to Helmuth? Did he dieded?
>>
dat 10m raise
>>
>>63484335

All things considered, Hellmuth is a great face for poker. He gets emotional and steams at the table, which the average viewer can relate to, and he doesn't take it away from the table.

He's a clean-cut guy with great insight and knowledge, as well as an overall super friendly demeanor. The Poker Brat persona is just that; a face he wears at the table because it's more marketable.
>>
>>63484335
He's literally there in the studio. Won his 14th WSOP bracelet this year
>>
>>63484295
>>63484319
Yeah, obviously, it's all about the image for the marketing guys, but in the end, it's a poker tournament, not a beauty pageantry. I prefer seeing Schwartz in his sweatsuit and flip-flops than a faggot like Steinberg.

I mean, I could understand you dressing up semi-formally, but why the fuck are you dressing like you're walking down the catwalk for Armani? Is it even comfortable to wear suits during such long sessions?

I'd argue guys like Schwartz and McKeehen aren't necessarily 'bad looking' for the big guys. They promote the idea of being able to become a millionaire no matter who you are, which obviously can bring in more people, and is good for business, long-term.
>>
HOW GOOD DOES THIS FUCKING GUY RUN
>>
>>63484382
like fuckin Allah
>>
>>63484369
They just aren't likeable. Maybe if you are also an autistic neckbeard they give u a glimmer of hope. Or maybe I'm jelous that such complete betas are millionaires and I'm not. And Steinberg was a cool cat, overall nice guy.
>>
ITS OGRE
>>
>>63484369

You're wrong then. A guy like Steinberg is 100x better for poker than a guy like Schwartz or McKeehen. Yes it's a tournament, and yes the best player wins, but you have to look at the bigger picture.

You can't relate to guys like Schwartz and McKeehen. The average viewer doesn't root for them because the average viewer doesn't want to put themselves next to guys like that.

The American dream aspect of poker (anyone can be a millionaire) is much better represented by Moneymaker, who was a regular guy that struck absolute gold without alienating the people who pull for him. Someone like Schwartz or McKeehen just hurts the game overall.
>>

This is unbelievable.

I play poker for hours and hours on end and will get lucky to get over 5 pocket pairs and the odd AK, KQ or strong suited connectors.

McKeehen somehow hit AK twice in a row, hits top pair every fucking time.

This is the epitome of running good.

And I hate the fat mong.

Now it could be all over with another excellent hand heads up A10.

God speed Beckley.

But Moneymaker did it, like, 12 years ago. It was unthinkable for an 'amateur' to go head-to-head with the big boys. As the years passed, and onliners started getting event wins, I'd imagine a part of them have become more smug. Understandably, since cynicism is a pretty standard way of answering in our day and age.

Personally, I don't really care about a player being a role model or not, I'm not looking for the 'ambassador of the game' kind of guy. I can relate to literally anyone who wins good money without having much of it beforehand.

I don't care if winners are
