Is Darts the worst fucking sport ever? I tried watching it on television and although its a pretty good sport the presentation around it and behaviour of the fans, commentators, and players makes me feel very, very unwell.
Its disgusting. Its a sport created by and ran by and played by and followed by the sort of idiotics who find a state of 'banterousness' to be desirable and wake up every day thinking that they need to perform 'banter' to be good people. These threads seem to be the same too, actually giving nicknames like 'wolfie' and 'taylel' to the players. This isn't fucking WWF, you can't do this fucking shit and try to get away with it. One of the commentators earlier on said 'He's in Barney Rubble'. He actually used cockney slang. He was a commentator in a professional match for a professional sport and he used cockney slang in a completely calm fashion as though its normal. He wasn't even from London. Can you imagine Michael Owen tried to say ''oHHHH SUAREZ should have scored there, that was a dad piss!' he wouldn't because football isn't a fucking pathetic sport that has to compensate by appealing to a crowd of utter cunts. Not for the first time this year has Barney been pushed to the brink by an inferior opponent, but you have to wonder how long he can keep this sort of nonsense up before it starts becoming terminal. Maybe he should actually play in the floor events. A shame that Butler didn't push it to the final leg but some bizarre counting from the American cost him dearly.
Elsewhere tonight... well, there wasn't much to shout about. Apart from Geert De Vos's worthlessly insane 113 average, Michel van der Horst pushing Webby close and Jenks imploding in the final leg, every favourite won their matches with relative ease.
