daily reminder that the browns are so bad they had belichick as a coach once and didn't accomplish shit
>>
He won a playoff game with them. Truly the GOAT
>>
BB winning a playoff game with the Browns should count as another Superbowl victory desu
>>
>>63370351

This confirms it, Belichick is a god coach
>>
They won a playoff game and would've gone on to bigger things had Art not given Cleveland the finger and moved the team.

Would the Browns have moved anywhere if the Redskins actually put their new stadium in Laurel, MD? I remember Jack Kent Cooke was thinking of changing them to the Maryland Redskins or Baltimore-Washington Redskins if they put it there (It's pretty much exactly between DC and Baltimore). Then it was kind of a mess putting a stadium there so they put it in Landover and stayed as a "DC" team, so Baltimore was still open for a team. Browns could have been a dynasty if all those coaches never split up. And the Patriots would be shit.

Yeah nah
>>
>>63370650
matt cassel won 5 FIVE less games with the same team brady had in 07-08

he then went on to be a pro bowl qb in KC and led the chiefs to the playoffs.

Let that sink in. A pro bowl and playoff caliber qb was worth 5 less games than Brady and close to 29 tds less.

System qb my ass dirty hue monkey

Against the Patriots, no less.

The Giants had Belichick as Defense Coordinator. They also had Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi as their Coordinators too.

All of the Giants 4 superbowls had Belichick on the sidelines

Kraft is great.

How is he so undervalues amongst the trio?

this. Art said himself that he found the coach for the rest of his life as team owner. but inexplicably fired Belichick after the move.

Brian Billick was a good coach, but just imagine Belichick and Newsome as the coach/GM combo

>ravens wouldve been team of the decade
>>
>>63370606

yes. Provided that the new city personally give Modell millions of dollars. The City of Baltimore gave Art $50 million

Art plotted to move the team after he wanted to build a new stadium on his own land in a distant suburb, which would obviously make a worthless plot of land worth millions overnight, but the city of cleveland said fuck no, when the Browns get a new stadium it will be built downtown.

He wasn't fired. The team moved to Baltimore

Matt Cassel also threw for 97 yards last Sunday

Cassel went 11-5 that season with the Pats. Tommy Two Choke went 10-6 the year after with almost the same team and threw 3 ints in a one and done playoff appearance.
>>

and that's relevant how?
>>
Perspective, OP.
The beginning of the end happened when that dumb fuck Modell took over and ousted Paul Brown. Modell wasn't really a football guy (unlike Brown) but wanted flash over discipline. Also, Modell wanted to be the HNIC, which Brown was up to that point...there was a mini-rebellion, with Jim Brown ultimately backing Modell..

Browns sunk into mediocrity while Brown crafted the Bengals; Brown almost usurped his former team but ultimately ran out of time. All the while, Modell promised over and over that he would never move the team...signed a 30 year contract saying so; fast forward to the Belichick era, close to 28 years in...that staff was so badass it was unbelievable...given a few more years, the Browns might have had true contention...

Then Modell pulled a "oops gotta go, sorry Cleveland"...Modell didn't give one single fuck about the history: about Paul Brown, about the Browns legacy...initially wanting to take the franchise and the name to Baltimore. The Baltimore Browns?? NEGRO PLEASE....How that ended was, in Modell's initial contract, he was mandated to "field a team" for 30 years...when the Browns moved it was just short of the deadline. So either Modell had to field his team at the Brown's stadium...OR give up the legacy, which he reluctantly did, the bloodsucking bastard fuck...Point being: given all this turmoil, on the brink...it just too bad that the Belichick era Browns didn't get another 3-5 years to grow. Too bad...

>>63372672
How does that mean he wasn't fired? P sure there's no rule against keeping your coach when you relocate.
