I think the most disturbing thing about the losses this year are that the Hawks had 2nd half leads in all of them and gave up the winning scores. In the past, they may let a team get close, but typically would step on their necks at the end. Usually it has started with a couple short, weak drives by the offense (RW sacks and basic play calling) then the defense gets worn out because of the three and outs, leading directly to the other team scoring.

Pats fans are very VERY fairweather.
This is a Red Sox region. That's the only true fanbase here.
The other local teams have true fans, but most are fairweather fans.
Before the Billachek era, the old foxborogh stadium was never sold out.
Most modern pats fans have only known success, so it's cknvinient for them to stick around and wear the merchandise.
But the 2008 season when Brady was out? The fan base plummetted, and that wasn't even a bad year really. In the mean time, these same people are Bruins fans or Celtics fans when it suits them, but the vast majority of them can't even tell you who the patriots won their 4 owls against.
