This is a shit method but it works
In the table in the links I posted in >>55419258 if you click on the points column you will see a massive set of vlookup formulas which reference the table on the far right which is points for each position.
Basically the vlookup formula will lookup the finishing position in the first race for that driver in the reference table and return the corresponding points value. It will then do the same for the next race and so on while adding them all up. That leaves with the total points for that driver.
This allows you to change the point system quickly and easily.
I'll make a diagram if my shit explanation doesn't help.

That the problem. I really can't see him lasting even 3 seasons with a car which isn't going to score points on average.
