I've been eating 3000 calories a day and going to the gym 3 times a week since April 11. When I started I weighed 125lbs. I now weigh 150 and my chest and arms are filling out. My goal is to bulk up to 200ish over the fall/winter/spring and then cut down to 180 next summer.

I've been bouldering and doing supplement chest/shoulder/core/leg workouts.

Like, my sister was 100 lbs in high school and she still had a gut, so who knows if I'll ever not look disgusting. Body type just sucks ass. I'd trade the hourglass hips and tits a million times over just to be a rectangle. I'm slowly learning to accept what I can't change, but it's a challenge. I'm starting to accept my thighs will always touch due to my hip shape and the fact I retain muscle so well there. Ah right, nevermind then. Considering your knee swimming probably is best and since you're eating at a deficit you won't put in any muscle.

You should consider planning your meals or calorie counting if you aren't already. It really makes losing weight a lot more efficient.

That's some willpower to keep eating the same thing, anon! Most of /fit/ only talks about chicken breast for some reason, but pork tenderloin is a wonderful option as well. If you can find it on sale, it could be close to the same price as chicken breast. An entire pound of pork tenderloin is less than 500 calories while being almost 90 g of protein and just as lean as chicken breast.

Regular pork loin isn't as lean, but it's often cheaper. At about 200 calories per 4 oz and 26 g protein, it's still a great option if you're tired of chicken. It tastes amazing cut into steaks and cooked on the grill and it freezes well, so you can make a bunch, freeze the steaks and just heat them up for a quick meal whenever.

Right now my goal is to build up my neck by October. The Army uses a very outdated taping method to determine BMI, and if you have a small neck (common in large weight loss cases), they'll try and kick you out even if you pass your fitness exam.

Any advice on building up my neck circumference without gear would be appreciated (studying for my job keeps me from being able to hit the gym).

I agree with that completely. Even though some people like fasting, doing it made me have absolutely no energy. It was a bad habit to eat in one meal for me when I was younger and I was starting to fall into that again until recently. Not as major as most people's, but somewhat satisfied. Jan 14 - March 24, I was 210 and went to 186. After another month and a half back up to 200look the same just been floating around 202 -196 consistently. But I notice my shoulders getting bigger and chest which is nice so I know I'm gaining muscle. The diet is what really sucks.

That's terrible you were treated like that in ideal threads. Have you ever tried going into those chubby/big girl contact threads they sometimes have on here? If you ever feel like giving 4chan a try again, I think it would be easier there than the ideal threads and you're not going to be bombarded with comments by gooftards.
There was a lovely couple that found each other from those chubby contact threads and despite them being from different countries, they've made it work just fine. It sounds like the girl is thinking of moving eventually, so there is hope for finding love here.

Thanks! My friend was in the Marines and he got me back into it I thank him for the most part. That was a few months ago now I've put in more mass. Mainly in the shoulders, back, and legs.

So after a year I should be where I want to be for the most part. Just eating clean lean meats in a daily basis really sucks especially the first month. High protein intake and try to only eat high carbs in the morning. After that it's chicken or lean beef with protien shakes and creatine. That's about it.

Extra skin was and is an issue. Although not so much now, 2 year after being at an all time low of 180lbs. I attribute some of my luck with my skin to having bulked back up to 250lbs before cutting back to 200lbs and to always staying hydrated/ just good genetics.

There was a lot of small things (buddies busting my balls, girlfriend saying that i'm not attractive) But when I went to the doctor for chest pains, and was told that it was due to the caffeine in the 4+ energy drinks/day that I was drinking… And that I was pre diabetic.That combined with having been recently single, I had decided that I was going to do something about my weight.

I notice that some people in my life that are less successful with their weight losses seem to be encouraging me to fail. Or people seem to assume i'm a douchebag now, rather than the fun fat guy. Not sure about the "bitter… "

You've got a great friend! I had somewhat of a similar situation, but those friends didn't know they were what helped me to start bettering myself. It's also good to hear you're not skipping on legs and you're building muscle there as well. It makes perfect sense. I've seen many, many anons who feel the exact same way. I'm mostly pissed off at myself because it's much easier than I thought it would be to lose weight and work out. I was my own worst enemy telling myself I couldn't do it and I'd fail for years.

Upper lower split if you're just starting out I suggest checking out CanditoTraining on YouTube his linear program is great for beginners if you need structure. I just go in and do whatever I want however

Currently serving in military, done with my first week. Everything went better than expected. Yesterday we marched the first time - 5 kilometres/ 3.5mi, with 40kg/90lb of equipment.
Went quite well. I was 111kg before this week. I think I'll be quite fit at the end of my service/training.

Basically I code server side and client side apps for a pharmaceutical company. So I've noticed I'm losing a bit of fat from my face, also I currently have to wear a belt with my jeans (until I get new ones.) I have a bit better self confidence, but I seem to hit alsorts of non /fit/ issues which knocks it down. Not really noticed much on the endurance yet.
