Anybody here have a history of self harm they'd like to talk about? Stories of how you got out of it? What happened?

It's been 4 long months but I haven't it's been pretty hard.

I am currently 28, I started at 17, cut for the last time in October 2014.
At 19 I was cutting at least twice a week, had up to 88 cuts present at my worst (scratches, like cat scratches)
October 2014 was the last but from 2012 till I stopped I did it like 8 times.
I also punched a wall softly for an hour or so, until I could see blood in the wall
And burned "mostly red hot steel" like five times
just to throw this out there, Gerard Way is just amazing and mcr has helped me through a lot of shit
