The only social media place i post my pictures publicly on is 4chan and that is because i dont want my pictures to be saved and archived on here, especially for a way to reverse search someone or stalk them, or government employers who can just do a reverse background check or something the like.

Actually I'm sure i'm not the only archive who archives /soc/. 4archive is archiving it but mostly privately. I've heard of other prv archives as well.
Furthermore, if anyone feels creeped out by anything or feels insecure or worried, you know you can just hit the [Report] button and politely ask for me to globally ban the image from never displaying ever again? This will delete all of your content. It's how I deal with DMCA reports.
I've had already ton reports on my other archives (ranging from 5 to 100 a month) and I've heard all sorts of stories.
So don't worry, just report or email me and I'll take down any content of you.
I'm a cool guy, unlike fgts's owner who refused to remove content even when people begged him for weeks.

After fgts.jp died i saw a mix of emotion on this board, even a dedicated thread for it, so I guess even if 1% of the /soc/ community wants and appreciates such a site, it's worth it.

This site has a huge userbase. Of that userbase, someone is always going to be saving something. Plenty of people take screenshots and put them on Reddit, too. The idea that anything on the internet is transient or temporary is fucking stupid.

Archiving does nothing to remove anonymity. Your posts are still anonymous provided you were smart enough to leave out any information that identifies you personally.
I'm not a regular user of any archive, but your arguments are fucking stupid and nonsensical. Anyone stupid enough to post nudes on the internet should never expect them to magically disappear forever, and it's up to them as individuals, not the community, to make sure their anonymity is preserved.

If you're using anything on fucking 4chan that publicly shows your personal address or information then you're a moron. Nothing you put here should have identifying information, and neither should any accounts you use through Skype or whatever.

I still don't see the problem with this. My Steam account has been in /soc/ archives for years and I have never once had a random add.
And even if I did...I would just decline?
As for being identified - I don't know if you're new here, but that happens a lot anyway. There is a reason people say "Hi Lainey" or so on every time she pops up in a /soc/ thread. Archives have nothing to do with that.
When I have used the old /soc/ archive, it was actually really helpful for me. If I ever thought someone's Skype ad was 'off' I could look it up, and would often find that they were fucking psychopaths, looking to sell nudes, someone else posting their information, or something like that. It has helped me dodge a lot of bullets. Maybe that's creepy to you, but I've had a lot of genuinely awful experiences on this board and I am pretty cautious with who I add now, and archives can often help weed out the real problem cases.
