Drug addiction/recovery thread?

Alright anons, let's post about our addictions and offer up some support to our fellow anons currently attempting or thinking about getting clean.


I'm currently going through withdrawal myself (in the 72 hour mark, pain is excruciating) after being on percocet and morphine for 8 years.

Only thing keeping me going is the thought of finally being on my own once I get through this, and not revolving my life around this drug. I'd love to hear some stories about other people who've been addicted and your reason/way you got off.
