London After Midnight, And One, Depeche Mode, Crosses, Crystal Castles, Morrissey and lots of goth music. Anything that sounds dark and depressing, basically, I'm down for.

Not really dark but tired, so very tired

Fugazi - I'm so tired

I'm a huge jazz, progressive rock, electronic or experimental nut.

... i do not understand your music so i can't recommend you anything. I'm listening to it now and it's just... odd
>>
>>23886746
huh? really? that's the first time I've ever heard that, hahaha. I'm constantly surrounded by goth subculture so I guess I forget haha

I'm not too well versed on jazz myself but I'd be down if you have any jazz recommendations to help me spread my horizons~

the song you posted reminded me of mars volta, actually haha

I hear ya.
I was surrounded by the goth thing once upon a time but i went the scene route instead.
I also dig Mars Volta in a weird way.

To be honest lots of people don't like jazz so maybe i can't sway you, however my favourite band Rolo Tommasi is heavily jazz influenced as well as metally & screamy (if you're into that sorta thing?)

idk. goodluck.

Well if you like depressing music, try Deathconsciousness by Have a Nice Life

>>23886739
If you like a lot of Fugazi's stuff, try Before a Million Universes by Big Ups

>>23886746
Not sure about this, maybe Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta
>>
>>23886793
Ahh I used to listen to TV on the Radio all the time. so good.

And if you're into punk and rock you might dig Against Me!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aVwW8JP7mQ

I also think you might like Koffin Kats if you haven't listened to them before, they're pretty great (I'm going to keep recommending these guys until someone loves them as much as I do)

as for punk, me first and the gimme gimmes will always be great

I'd recommend Joy Division to you

>>23886822
Nice taste man. I suppose you already know them, so I'll ask for your opinion of Mogwai
>>
>>23886831
Oh I got into Against Me! some months ago. Transgender Dysphoria Blues was their first album that I heard, and I really enjoyed it.

That song by Koffin Kats rocks. I'll check them out.

>experimental Hip Hop
not quite experimental as i'd say futuristic in the literal sense but you could enjoy Deltron 3030

>>23886822
You have a sweet taste, since you're into shoegaze maybe you could like Spectrum - Soul Kiss album, is quite dreamy

>what you're currently listening to
Beyonce's Lemonade desu (come at me /mu/tants)

>top 3 genres or favorite bands
Stoner/ Doom (Electric Wizard, Sleep , early Sabbath)
Nick Cave & TBS (yes they are so perfect they are their own genre)
The Mars Volta (Experimental Rock?!)
Aphex Twin (y'all know)
BJM (Psychedelic Rock)
clipping. (Experimental Rap maybe)
Asap Rocky (Rap/ Hip Hop)
Cosmic Jokers (Krautrock)
The Horrors used to be my favourite (early was Garage/Surf Gothy Rock revival kinda sound, then went for more Shoegaze'y sound)
okay it was just easier to say tons of artists more than focus on genres
>>
>>23886822
I actually really liked them, the more I listen to their other stuff too I'm liking it more.

anyways, you ever listen to Cursive?

they're pretty easy going but also emotionally devastating, so you might be able to appreciate them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EeQNmGknak

also, Sneaker Pimps are good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUBVVbcCDdM

>>23886813
well, Sneaker Pimps has a very unique style to them, slightly dark jazzy in some songs, maybe you'll like them

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUBVVbcCDdM
>>
>>23886746
A Rolo Tomassi fan, I like you
Seen them live last year for 5 bongbucks, they kill live
>>
>>23886976
Awesome, I was actually deciding between FlyLo and Deltron! Deltron 3030 is such a cool album

Have you checked out Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats?
>>
>>23887090
I'm glad you enjoy it. Deltron 3030 is honestly one of my favourite albums and i feel it's so underrated. Wish he had released more stuff.
I do actually enjoy Bloodlust but i don't think i've listened enough to form a constructive opinion, would you recommend more?

I'm not depressed or anything, I just like my music with a pessimistic flavour.

>>23886994
The ones you put up here are nice.
>>
>>23886874
Thanks man, likewise.
I've only listened to Mogwai's first two albums but goddamn Young Team is excellent. I'll have to listen to more of their discography. Which ones would you recommend?
>>23886976
I've heard about Spectrum but never gave them a shot. I'll be sure to check them out.
>>23886994
Sneaker Pimps is great! Never heard of Cursive but the song you linked sounds pretty cool, reminds me of Olivia Tremor Control
>>
>>23887182
Deltron 3030 released another album in 2013 called Event 2. I didn't like it as much as their first, but it's worth a listen. I think the only other Exp Hip Hop albums that can match 3030 are Madvillainy and King Gheedorah - Take Me To Your Leader, I strongly recommend them if you haven't listened to them yet!

For Uncle Acid I'd recommend you to listen to Blood Lust, their second album. They only have four albums so they're an easy band to delve into
https://youtu.be/Oxclr8mD7lE

>>23888140
Definitely the album Happy Songs For Happy People. The song "Moses I amn't" is glory itself to me
>>
Sorry for the double post but
>>23887190 your taste reminded me of this song

I think the album that song is in, "I'm New Here", has a little bit of everything you say you like, definitely check it out!

What type of jazz do you listen to? Favourite songs/artists I guess. Don't want to recommend something isn't your style
>>
>>23888567
Mostly modern junk. Whether it's jazz or jazz influenced wiggly sounds, i'll like it.
I'll just throw you a few things. Probablya good few hours of listening all together so don't bother listen to it all unless you really like your jazz.
