I've been growing my beard out for about 6 months now and I'm not sure if I like it. Been thinking about trimming/shaving it lately. I just wanted some input from some other folks before I make a huge mistake.

Trim the sides a bit so your head doesn't look like an eight. Go for an elongated acorn shape.

I think you look good with a beard.
A trim with some grooming so it doesn't look unruly? Sure. Shaving it? ...No, just don't please.
A good bread needs care products. I use a beard oil and beard balm. You might want to try a wax too.

Definitely needs trimming. Long beards need to be kept in shape if you're not living in Siberian winter.
Personally I prefer the look on the right, but there are probably lots of options in between the two. If you can, get a barber to sort it. Talk to them a bit first if you can, it's what you're paying for, and you don't want some twat doing it.
