I've got a couple Scottish-themed tattoos on my upper arms - and I plan on getting a black & white Xenomorph on my chest later this year
IMO it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about a persons tattoos - if that person is happy with them - even years later - then it was a worthwhile thing for them to get.

i have a cicada on my sternum
just under 10 years ago I was very very lost in life and my insomnia would result in long walks at night down a pitch black road. every now and then there'd be a streetlight or a car in sight... but it was mostly just my thoughts and the cicadas. I look up the species and they live for 17 years underground before they emerge to serenade one another, leaving hollow shells behind.
the only other tattoo i have is one i did in math class stick n poke... just a small heart on my forearm. the girl i was dating at the time was doing hers a few feet away on her waist.

Get a more unique variation of that, something like this but not quite. I like minimalism but yours is just too plain.
If I was a good artist, I'd create a very detailed variation of the P.T. logo and keep its gradient style then get it as a tattoo under my sternum one.

I'm thinking about my next tattoo. I want to eventually have a sleeve, but I want it to have meaning. I am not a particular fan of tattoos that are purely aesthetic; I think tattoos should be meaningful, and through the meaning it will add to its aesthetic appearance.
I am a fan of Plato's cave. I am thinking about making a picture of a man exiting a cave on the top of my arm on my shoulder. Below this tattoo I will add things that are relevant to significant life experiences, interpretations, and knowledge. I like this idea. I was into Alan Watts and liked his philosophy and translation of eastern ideas. This influenced me to get an Om tattoo in a lotus on my forearm. After taking my education of philosophy, science, psychology, and academic subjects; I have grown to become more aware of my ignorance, and believe there is more to life than just letting go of everything and just appreciate the nature of what is. So, I feel it is appropriate to tattoo the man leaving the cave on my right shoulder, above my Om tattoo.
