Take a picture while acting shy which means shoulders bent on yourself, akward face, no smiling is a representation of a lack of confidence. Even if the person is cute he or she doesn't seem very open and sociable and that counts a lot.
At the opposite even if you have some bad facial features but that you're acting confident and not insecure, people will still get a good idea about you.

Oh. Generally for me pics don't really tell me anything except an idea of what a person looks like. And even then pictures are a questionable representation of what someone looks like(some people are just not photogenic and others are look better in still shots than in motion). I think it's a bit dumb to assume anything about someone you've never spoken to before. But I seem to be alone in this belief since every single other person seems to do it.
I mean I've been told I have really good facial features a lot but in general I'm also told on here I"m strictly average(which is actually better than I'm told elsewhere). This never made sense to me that I could have above average features and still be strictly average. But I guess what you're saying would account for that.
I just find it confusing because to me someones personality and their physical appearance are two entirely different things.
