Word. I'm sure there's tons of Troegs I've never heard of that's pretty awesome. Yeah?

>>23327866
Do they have stuff at stores? Also, what are the best 2-3 best stores for beer?

I drive out from Indiana to Baltimore every year for a metal festival and I always stop in Columbus and another place or two on the way there & back. Been meaning to stop in Pittsburgh, but I always run out of time or I leave Baltimore too late in the morning.
>>
I enjoyed every troegs ive had so far, favorites being either mad elf or troegenator (think thsts how u spell it) Sunshine pils is prob my fav seasonal. Only one ive never had was the once a year porter cause i can never find it and im too lazy to order online.
Not too sure about stores because Pa's alcohol laws are fucked. And desu now that i think of it idk if church brew even sells their shit online which might make it hard to get

It's a 16oz. can. Over the last year or two, they've released their beer in 4pk cans that each had a different design on it. I believe it's because they've been in operation for so long.

Oh c'mon, now you're just being plain silly.
>>
>>23331974

Skunkiness, man. Such a turrible thing for beer.
>>
>>23331986

The taste of metal isn't quite what I strife for, either.

And I know the arguments for can but properly storing glass bottles does the trick just as well.

Maybe I'm just being a traditionalist, but when you're outside and don't carry a glass around (I mean... I know people who do this, but then again I know strange people)... then yea. I'd rather drink straight from the bottle than straight from the can.
>>
>>23332029

Well, if you drink it straight from the can, then yeah. You're going to get a metal taste. But, if you care about taste at all, you wouldn't be drinking straight from the bottle or can.

I mean, if you're going to age a beer, a bottle is the preferred method (cork and cage or at least a cork). Anyhow, anything in a green bottle is a bad move as those (along with clear bottles) are the worst at keeping out UV light, which is what causes skunkiness to occur.
>>
>>23332129

I know what skunkiness is and how it occurs. But to be honest: drinking straight from the bottle is VERY common over here, so it should not be discarded as a reason to keep bottles over cans.

I probably drink more beer straight from the bottle than I do from a glass.
>>

>If you're drinking something to slam down (like some 'domestic'-esque beer) and straight from the vessel, then going from the bottle/can is fine and bottles would be the way to go. I understand that.

I drink domestic beers almost exclusively, haha.

But they're nothing to "slam down". They're just... pretty good beers.
>>
>>23334353

Well, there's a difference between beers that are made to 'slam down' and those that are made to have some taste. You know what I mean?
>>
>>23334386

Yes, but the average, run of the mill beer here is made to have some taste. Slam down beers are for festivals, come in cans and cost about 25 cents for half a liter.
>>
>>23334393
>25 cents for half a liter

Now you're just fucking with me.
>>
>>23334400

I'm not. Remember how we talked about weizen the other day? You had a Weihenstephaner?

For a crate of Weihenstephaner (20x0.5l) or something of equal quality, I pay roughly 14€ at the supermarket, so... $16 probably? So 80 cents for half a liter?

And that's average priced beer, so cheap stuff just gets progressively worse and cheaper.
>>
>>23334427

I hate you and your country as I'm extremely envious.

A 16.9oz. bottle of Weihenstephaner is like $3.70 before tax, which is 3.30€.
>>
>>23334461

Holyyyyyy........ I mean... I get it, it's an import, but still. What the actual fuck.

The worst part about the US: Even the shit tier beer at the supermarket costs a ridiculous amount. When I went to highschool in the states and ended up at the inevitable "my parents are gone for the weekend" parties, the "chip in" amount was always ludicrous to me - and all I got for that boatload of money was fucking Bud Light. I hated it, but as a 16 year old there really was no other choice but to roll with it...

>>
>>23334508

Yeah, I suppose no one can truly complain about what beer there is when you're underage. But even still, if I was 16 and going into a party I know only has Bud Light, I'd give a hard pass on paying. Hopefully you were able to drink some better beer while you were still in the states.

Speaking of, not sure how it is for all the other better beer that is available there, but compared to Weihenstephaner price wise, a lot of craft beer here is a tad on the pricey side. For example, the average cost of a good 6pk and 22 oz. bottle is around $10-13 (9-11.65€).

I guess at least there's a huge amount of variety here in the States to choose from.

This was too much. The acidity from the coffee (I believe that's it) made this off putting. However as each sip goes down, I do get a pretty nice coffee/chocolate taste for a short moment. If anyone somehow has a bottle of this in their fridge, sit on it for like a year.
