Hi I recently moved to the US for school and I needed to do research on gun control. Apparently the guy who did the Aurora Colorado shootings originated from /soc/ according to this video around the 1:00-1-50 mark?

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether this really happened or not? I can't find any sources on it and wondered if anyone who has been around /soc/ during the time of the shooting can confirm this.

Can't answer your specific question. However, /k/ommando here, so reasonably well educated on gun control, area specifics within the US and its effects here and elsewhere. Be advised, if my interests haven't betrayed it already, my perspective will be slightly biased.

Upon actually viewing the video (not being a regular /soc/iopath I was quite certain, and correctly, I had no information), I have concluded that the video is not a good source for anything at all due to the fact that it is a fourteen year old boy recording his drunken ramblings in his mother's bathroom mirror.

I'm surprised this kid wasn't too embarrassed to upload it after the fact. Wow.
