I'm counting The Revenant as 2015, and that's my pick. Fuuuck is it good. It's hard to compare it to any of Alejandro's other films because it's so different, but jesus christ, I think he's outdone himself. I was as impressed with the technical aspects of how this film was shot as I was with Birdman. Runners up is probably Sicario. My #1 would probably be Anomalisa if I had gotten a chance to see it, though.
