I love these threads. Here's my pretty long hair straightened. Been growing it for about two years with occasional trims

Thanks. I treat it with argan oil, and I only shampoo once per week, while conditioning daily. I need to get it trimmed, though, but my stylist doesn't seem to be cutting any more, and finding a decent salon around here is impossible.

Some of the obvious stuff: eat well, stay hydrated, don't wash you're hair too often, etc
I consistantly switch between a bunch of different shampoos and conditioners so that my hair will never get used to one. It's good to have some variation. I have karatin ones, clarifying ones, straightening ones, natural ones. It's also good to make sure they're sulphate free.
After a shower I make sure to rinse my hair under cold water for about 10 seconds (it helps close the hair folliciles). Then squeeze water out of my hair instead of throwing it up in a towl because the towel will make it frizzy. I don't blow-dry, but if I did I'd keep it on a low heat setting or if higher than put in some heat protectant. I usually brush my hair dry.
I also use a few types of hair masks, there's a fair number of natural recipes for that as well as some good store bought masks. I'd do a mask once a month to every two or so weeks.
Sometimes I'll leave olive oil in my hair for up to a day (about half way down my hair). It's a real bitch to get out, but the results are worth it. I use clarifying shampoo to get it out, putting on the shampoo before getting in the shower.. A LOT of shampoo. Just putting olive on the ends is a better idea I guess, less of a hassle.

It also makes your hair softer, more manageable. Good quality olive oil works better than any hair product I've ever bought.
Oh and coconut oil is good too. Forgot to mention that. Personally I like the olive oil better, but I do switch. I don't really use olive oil on my skin, unless I've ran out of makeup remover. It's a pretty good substitute. I know it's good for your skin as well :)
Long hair girls are best girls but ninety percent of the ones I know cut their hair shoulder length or shorter for some reason.
My hair is a frizzy mess with or without conditioner. I don't really know how to fix it.
I don't wash much and always air dry.
Currently stay away from conditioner because a cheap bottle of it made me shed a LOT last year. I'm paranoid now.

My hair isn't very long but if it were easier to shape and style without using toxic chemicals that'd be great.
I'm not saying I wish I was an Italian aristocrat who could bath in tubs of extra virgin olive oil...but it wouldn't be bad. I always used it for massaging my legs after rugby matches, it did wonders.
