I'm going to twist the rules because fuck you, that's why. I'm only rating the music, and using the photographs as a burning reminder of whether or not I personally enjoy your taste in music. The brutally honest potato has arrived.

Glass Animals - Gooey
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIA1XQnAv5s
Feeling pretty relaxed right now, this song is so groovy.

>>22971994
I have always imagined you as a Venezuelan football player and I'm not really sure why. Animal Collective is pretty great, not one of my favorite songs by them but enjoyable nonetheless.

>>22972014
I dropped out of AP Chemistry when I was in high school after receiving a 28% on a test and it felt pretty bad. It's hard. You'll make it though. Music was alright, definitely not something I'd ever choose to listen to in my free time.

>>22972148
Gives off some feel good vibes. I have them in my library and listen to them when I'm on drives. Nice taste.

>>22972164
Decent but again reminded me a lot of the guy who failed his BioChem final. Both songs don't sound terrible but they're not really spectacular either. Not digging the whole emocore instrumentals.

>>22972248
Probably would've enjoyed this when I was in middle school. That guy reminds me of Amanda Palmer with his eyebrows lel.

>>22972511
Decent song, again reminds me of something I'd probably have listened to in middle school. I was a lot edgier back then.

>>22972648
Haha the intro made me smile. Digging this a lot, makes me wanna listen to Tame Impala. Check out Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Pond if you haven't already.

>>22972661

I already know I'd jam out around the house to this song while doing some household chore. Makes me want to get up and dance. Very unique.

Chilling before I cram for my public speaking final tonight. Went on a shoegaze buffet and stumbled upon this goodness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Lk-xREf-U

>>22971994
Never really gave AnCo a good listen. I like the neat drum work but I guess I'm not in the mood for this airy type of stuff. Dunno what I would rec.

>>22972014
Huh, I was expecting djent but this was cool. Reminded me of Plini. I don't really enjoy that type of calculated soloing anymore, but I have a ton of respect for the guitarists who probably work their asses off.

>>22972164
YES. Check the shirt. Saw them a few months ago. Their new album was my antidepressant this past summer. You should check out these guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnCG8RwpDC8

>>22972248
Ah here we go with the djent. Sounds like a poppier version of MM. Guy looks like him too lol.

>>22972511
Haven't listened to these guys in years but I'm loving the vocal fry. Nostalgiacore.

>>22972648
Such dank. It's like Tame Impala but slowcore haha.

>>22972661
Fuck yes. Favorite band during the past year. Ugh I want to see them again but I'm broke. Honestly I'd watch every show if I could, no matter what the venue or crowd. I was headbanging, yelling and thrashing in the middle of a crowd of spooning/swaying couples during their Hyperview tour. Still can't find a band I love half as much as them, even after going through the entire RFC roster.

>>22972699
Oh shit. Makes me wanna breakdance lol. Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3QVXxquc4g

>>22972852
I listened to this once before. Good stuff. I'd recommend checking out Uyama Hiroto if you haven't. I assume you're already a big fan of Nujabes.

>>22972856
First one made me think of Dead Kennedys + FEAR. (Specifically this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OX1SHDxyE0)
Shockabilly is so patrician blues. You remind me of a guitarist I jammed with a few times. He loved Wilco and GY!BE. Also, he kinda looked like you. Brownout is the dank.

I can't really /into/ Swans for some reason. So far I've listened to The Seer, White Light, Filth and Cop. I see so much love for To Be Kind but I feel like I'm missing a lot of context with their newer stuff. Should I just listen to everything in order? Should I skip any? Does any of this matter? Am I just a tiny human bean floating on a rock in outer space?

>>22973008
I've had trouble getting into these guys. Didn't really enjoy Daydream Nation which I hear from fans is not their best release. I listened to The Eternal, which I kinda enjoyed but your link is the most enjoyable I've heard so far. Which album should I check out?

>>22973056
Never heard of these guys but digging it. Vocalist reminded me of Mad Satta right away. You might like em. Although, they don't really use electronic gear, which I like. Hiatus Kaiyote, on the other hand, you might like as well. They're more dynamic and organic, but I think they use electronic gear pretty tastefully when they do decide to use it.

>>22973078
This is great. Loving the chord progressions. Sounds organic, which is refreshing. Too much hi-fi, overproduced music everywhere imo.

>>22973085
What scene did these guys come from? Sounds like they were some overlooked band caught between 80s hardcore/no-wave and grunge.

>>22973843
This is the good shit that we really need.

>>22974172
Sounds good, mysterious anon. Reminds me of an album I heard a while ago but completely forgot and now I'm frustrated because it would probably take me literal hours to find it. None of that's really useful into but yeah.

I saw Sikth the other weekend and received their new mini album signed and everything. One of the best live acts I've seen.

Also seen BTBAM in Sept where they were fantastic.

Tips fedora.

Nice, man. I saw BtBaM in August (and I'll see them again in May) and I also got SikTh's new mini album. It's amazing.
>>
>>22977211
Ah nice, did they play Queen or White walls as a finale? For us they played White walls and I think was the only variation which they did on that tour.

I love the Sikth stuff, they're basically the Godfathers of djent and technical metal along with BTBAM. Both formed around the same time. Sikth was coincidently one of the first metal bands I actually got into along with Pantera and a few others. I still think the trees are dead and dried out is one of my favourite albums to date.
>>
>>22977231
I'm the reverse, actually. DoaDD is one of my favorite albums. Alongside Opeth, BtBaM and SikTh are the forerunners of the genre.

BtBaM played Queen. The entire venue was singing it and it was a blast because it was their last show on tour.
>>
>>22977257
DoaDD is a fantastic album as well which has grown on me over the years, love flogging the horses. Yeah definitely, Opeth have been going for quite a few years.

I'm really glad this kind of music is getting popular again, BTBAM's new album has got critical acclaim across the "metal" board as a innovative album. Sikth appear to be playing bigger venues as well, they played to 1,000 or so people at the forum in London a week or so a go. Shame they don't go to the US, maybe they don't have a passport to go there or something.

Yeah, I kind of wanted them to play Queen but White Walls is an epic which I hadn't really listened before. So it was pretty awesome to hear it for the first time.
>>
>>22977285
I love that SikTh have returned with such force and are getting big again. I agree; it seems like prog is becoming more popular, which is amazing.

Funnily enough, I was wanting White Walls, but I'm perfectly content with Queen. I heard they've been closing their concerns out with Silent Flight now, which sounds spectacular.
>>
>>22976131
You like CHON and Polyphia, which is awesome. Both of those bands, alongside one I posted (Strawberry Girls) are touring together next April.

Because you like both of those bands, I'm curious if you've heard the new Interval album.

>>22976572
They're so good.
>>
>>22977359
I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet. Is it any good?
>>
>>22975614
The link is from the album Washing Machine, check it out. Sister is probably the best one they did. Not huge on Daydream Nation.
>>
>>22977513
Definitely. Mellow and instrumental (with the occasional vocalist)
>>
>>22973962
Funny enough i was just listening to Disco Biscuit by Rishloo
>>
>>22977673
So like most of their stuff then? I'll definitely have to check it out this week

>>22977572

I mainly listen to Black, Death, and Doom Metal (with some other genres sprinkled in between), but this is just hitting me hard right now. I don't know why.

My only exposure to FF is a guy in one of my classes that was obsessed and mentioned at one point that he had a body pillow of one of the characters.

Made note of that and told myself not to ever mess with that franchise. lol

>>22979113

Shows how much I've had tonight. Meant KH, not FF.

I can get obsessions, trust me. But, when getting a body pillow of a character from a franchise you're infatuated with, that seems to be over the top and beyond an obsession. Ya know?

I suppose I'm not the best at speaking on this. I don't really game much at all (don't have much time to devote to games right now myself), although I have mad respect for anyone that can and does.
