We fell in love and then I broke up with her a few months later because I was having daddy issues and I didn't want to burden her. We never got past the honeymoon phase and we were pretty happy. Also, her best friend was hitting on her and I was convinced I was just getting in the way since he was there first and helped her through a lot of personal shit. After I kept rebounding back into the relationship a few times, I convinced myself to cut off completely. By then, I graduated hs. 2 years later, we started talking again after I moved states and I found out she was near suicidal. She cut off from her best friend ever since he started abusing her and raped her and she had a miscarriage. Then she got into another abusive relationship. She's doing a little better now though, but I stopped talking to her a while back. I don't find myself attracted to her anymore, but I've always tried to be nice to her. Never abusive.
Now I'm 21. I've become more introverted and less hopeful about dating, but I don't think it's the end of the world. I mean I don't think I'm responsible enough to handle a healthy relationship right now, but I still fantasize about falling in love with 1 or 2 girls I've met. I probably won't date again until I'm 24, just because I'm taking the next couple of years to learn how to not be a NEET.
