You should just try and find a few conditioning products that your hair works well with and stick to a regimen. Doesnt have to be "black stuff".
I use Cantu shea butter, its amazing and doesnt leave my hair greasy.

I'm half black, grew up with a Latina mom, I lived. Just make sure you keep it moisturized. Dont relax her hair until she's old enough to make conscious decisions about her hair (or at all if you can help it). Dont pull it to tight when you put it in ponytails or braids. If its to much of a hassle just keep it on the medium/shorter length until she's old enough to help you take care of it.
