in the olde days, we agreed on some thing for [s4s], when mot (RIP in peace) asked us. f.e. we wanted this to be a nsfw boarde, so we could still use porn here for fun (and not to miss out on dank porn memes). there were also dicussions about the use of namefigs, tripcodes, ect. we chose to allow namefigs here, but no tripcodes. thus we could play with it, by many figs using the same name, or by impostering. names are not that important and we're all here to have fun. one of the many differences to other 4chan boards imo. it is fine if someone wants to go by a name, but since this is still 4chan, you need a thick skin, since there are many people out there, who associate namefigs with tripfigs and therefore are negatively biased when they see peolple namefiggin here.
Some of us who here for a few years now, and those are quite a few, got to know each other at least a little bit and we grew fond of creating silly stuff together and filling this board with it. now some have left but some not and those that go by namefigs are just chilled dudes who browse 4chan for a reason. so even if they use namefigs, it's not about boosting egos. also we had more namefigs back than as now, since many prefer going by anonymous anyway and just now and then put on some name.
the albumes are a good example. it started as a gag and turned out to be an ongoing thing here with new and oldfigs contributing. there has always been some hate you can bet. but we wouldn't be still here writing silly and sometime actually great OC music, if it were for some sort of fame or recognition. some of us go by many different namefigs on the albumes, so good luck trying to find all songs from one artist. namefigs come in handy when managing those projects and 3bard does a really good job without going around bragging about it or whatever.
