Being able to do math using only a simple writing utensil is more useful than doing math with Maple/Sage/Mathematica/Octave/GP/etc, even in research situations. Just so, being able to effectively program and use a computer without reliance on heavy tools is useful.
A few months ago, corporate informed us that we were only allowed to access source code from secured machines, for security reasons. The only secured machines are 2000+ miles away, with such slow network access that graphical work is impossible. Furthermore, there is exactly one build server, and it is infeasible to work on a machine other than the build server (blah blah blah spaghetti build system blah blah blah 15 GB of dependencies in /opt/ blah blah blah hardcoded magic UIDs in the makefiles blah blah blah), which means that the entire team is crowded onto a single machine over a network connection that barely got 3 nines of uptime. A horrendous situation, but we aren't authorized to talk to anyone who is authorized to talk to anyone who could make a decision.
In such an environment, heavy tools are no help to you, and whoever shows up in top as a memory hog has the rest of the team breathing down their neck.
To draw a "Good" picture every week. (I will draw any pictures from the regular draw threads on most major boards, dirty stinky porn included)
To practice more drawing techniques every week.
I will be doing some "stare at picture for minute draw from memory" practices.
Then I will redraw those pictures from different orientations and angles as well.
Also doing some abstract drawing by drawing a mass of scribbles using a semi transparent brush, then turning it in to some other drawing.
To learn multiple spoken languages.
Mainly Russian Wapanese and German for now.
To learn multiple programming languages.
Mainly more JS, C, Python. Maybe some Perl and C# and Flash.
To learn multiple web-hosting servers like Apache, node.js and such.
To organise and tag all my files using a file tagger I will write.
It will give me 10 random files when I request, I tag them with as many tags as I can think of.
A week later, it will show me them again randomly in other file groups to tag them again.
Also going to write a file dupe finder along with that. It will hash every image when I tag and store any dupes for me to deal with separately.
To stick to my flexi-schedule thing so I don't sit around wasting time and doing the same shit over and over.
I am also writing a program to help manage that.
I will split a 5 hour period in to 15,30,45,60 minute segments with different tasks, like learning, programming, drawing, watching the backlog of TV or animemes, exercise, etc.

It will be easy enough to learn since I already know a lot of JS and they use the same base language description.
The biggest difference being that it has a whole bunch of other built-in shit to do animation than JS uses through the new HTML5 Canvas (very horribly, which I expanded on a lot since it lacked so many basic features)
