I'll explain the bare essentials below. :) You'll have to lurk or read the s4s wiki to learn more. :\
GET - Repeating digits at the end of your post number, read right-to-left. The GET tier is like so: Singles (the lowest, not special at all), Special Singles (a little special, not widely checked), dubs (special, but the lowest widely checked), trips, quads, quints, and so on.
Post numbers that don't have them are called singles and need not be check'd (unless they are special singles, like 3972*404*. Exceptions to this exception exist, such as 39725*69* as it is #rudefig material). Remember GETs are read right-to-left, so *33*72981, 3*77*2156, 39*66*493, 397*55*43, and 3974*99*1 (off by one, off from trips by one) are all singles despite having repeating digits in them. This extends to special singles as well. 3972*404* is a special single, but 39*404*72 isn't.
Two repeating digits, and the most common GET, are called dubs. An example of dubs is 3972833. Because it is a GET, you should "check em". To do this you would reply to his post and under his post number you would comment something like "nice dubs, check'd :)". :D Always check GETs, as leaving them uncheck'd is literally murder. >:(
Three repeating digits are called trips. Four repeating digits are called quads. Five repeating digits are called quints. Six repeating digits are called x (x being a number) million GETs. Seven are strangely not well documented and do not have an official name. :/
